#9: First date [part 1]

On our way, there was a speed bump, and the driver didn't slow down, causing us to jolt in the car.

Aarohi's face nearly collided with the driver's seat, but I quickly placed a hand on her forehead to prevent it.
I was tense and immediately asked her if she was okay. She reassured me that she was fine.

I then raised my voice at the driver, expressing my frustration about his rough driving. He apologized, mentioning that he hadn't noticed the speed bump.

Before I could continue, Aarohi intervened, telling me to stop shouting at the driver and that it was fine.

I was puzzled by her reaction and wondered why she is like this.

As the driver started the car again, I couldn't help but think about Aarohi. Initially I had thought she was arrogant and rude at first, but as I got to know her , she proved to be incredibly kind and understanding.

Just like with Myra, she had shown such understanding. Now, once again, she occupied my thoughts. Even with her sitting beside me, my mind couldn't help but keep thinking about her.

After some time, we reached our destination. As we got out of the cab, Aarohi was about to pay the driver, but I insisted that I would cover the fare for both of us. She suggested splitting the cost, but I insisted on paying.

However, to my horror, I realized that I had forgotten my wallet. Panic set in as I remembered that I had withdrawn all my cash last Sunday, leaving my PayTM account empty as well.

"Kyo bhagwaan kyoo... mere saath hi krna thha aisa or issi vakt jab mai aarohi ke saath hu .."

I couldn't bring myself to tell her the truth, fearing what she might think of me. Thinking quickly, I pretended there was a problem with my bank account when trying to pay online.
Aarohi kindly offered to pay, and she settled the fare.

I couldn't help but feel embarrassed and disappointed that our date started off on such a note.
It was not supposed to be like this.

After that, I asked Aarohi to wait for two minutes and assured her I'd be back soon. She asked where I was going, but I just request her to wait .

Desperately, I went to another street and called my mother, asking her to transfer some money to my bank account urgently. She wanted to know why. I told her I'd explain later .Once she agreed, I asked her not to tell my father and ended the call.
Within seconds, I received a notification that the money was transferred to my Paytm account.

Finally, I breathed a sigh of relief and returned to Aarohi.

"I went back to her and said, 'I'm back.' She asked, 'Why are you looking so happy now? A few minutes ago, you were looking so down.' I replied, 'Just because.' Then I told her, 'Now we are going to watch a movie.' She said, 'OK, good idea.' So we went to the theater, where I bought the tickets and asked her if she wanted anything to eat. She said she'd go with a drink, but I wanted to buy popcorn, imagining the popcorn scene in the movie theater when our hands would touch. So, I bought one pack of popcorn and two drinks. We went into the theater and sat in our seats."

"I don't know what the movie was about. But as the movie started, damn, there were some hot scenes. We found ourselves in an awkward situation, alternating between looking at each other and the movie.

I took a drink and started drinking it while looking down. She also took her drink, and I waited for her to take the popcorn from the bucket.

Just as she was about to take the popcorn, a funny scene in the movie made the whole crowd shout and laugh. She pulled her hand back in amazement, and I couldn't help but notice. I was watching her hand while she was watching the movie.

Then, to add to the awkwardness, a couple in front of us started kissing, making the situation even more uncomfortable.

I could see that she was somewhere feeling shy but what can i do.

Ohh god why it is going like this.

So, the movie was playing, and we were still watching it, without any other option. I had completely forgotten about the popcorn hand touchingrhing.

As the movie neared its end, I reached for some popcorn, thinking she wouldn't take any. Suddenly, her hand reached for the popcorn bucket at the same time, and our hands finally touched.

It felt amazing, unlike anything I've ever experienced before. Despite having held hands with many girls in the past, it all seemed insignificant now. I never thought
Her hand... it was different.

But then, she withdrew her hand abruptly and glanced at me. I smiled slightly and returned my focus to the movie.

Eventually, the movie ended, and I suggested leaving the theater. However, she preferred to wait for the crowd to disperse before exiting, as she didn't like crowded places or the rush at the entrance. I agreed, realizing this was another new thing I learned about her. After the theater emptied out, we finally left.
