Chapter 1: Nessa's POV*

*Recap*

Everything was still black but there was a slightly more alive feeling here than the depths of the sea. There was a faint ringing in my ears and I thought I could hear someone calling out to me but I couldn't exactly tell. I could feel a lot of pressure on my chest but I couldn't figure out what it was.

Then i could feel something traveling up through my body an before I knew it I was turned on my side and was coughing up water. After my little coughing fit I was turned back on my back. The coughing fit had brought me back to reality and the ringing in my ears had dimmed down and I could then hear someone calling out to me.

I opened my eyes to see the figure of a man over me, he was shaking me and saying something but I couldn't understand exactly what, then my body fell weak and the darkness came over me again.

It felt like I was floating, It was dark and completely silent. My body was numb I couldn't feel anything or move anything.

Then all of a sudden a wave of agonising pain came upon me, causing me to have a headache. I tried groaned in pain and discomfort but no sound came out, I went move my arms, but they would not budge. I tried to open my eyes to see if anything was restraining my arms from moving but to dismay they would not open.

I tried moving my arms again but just like the last time they would not move. I tried lifting my legs but they would not obey my commands either, I couldn't even wiggle my toes. I sighed in annoyance and exhaustion for the mere effort of trying move my limbs had tired me out.

My headache had only grown worse by now and I could feel myself burning up, then I heard light shuffling before a warm, moist cloth was placed over my head.

"Will she be okay Papa?" Said a young female voice from next to me. "I don't know Bergdis, but for her sake I hope so." said an elderly voice. I heard more shuffling before a door opened then quietly creaked closed. 'Who the hell was that?' I thought, 'I've got to get out of here.'

I attempted to move my feet but unfortunately for me, they still would not move. I sighed and stopped trying, contemplating on what I should do next. I decided that before I even attempted moving again that I should try to open my eyes. There was no point trying to run if I couldn't see where I was going.

I tried to pry my eyes open but they remained shut, I was quickly getting angry and impatient because of this, I tried another three times before I just lied still In the aggravation that I couldn't control my own body.

'Frustratingly trying to open my eyes isn't going to get me anywhere' I though, 'I have to calm down....' I took a deep cleansing breath '.....and try to open them gently.' I took a few more deep breathes before I felt my heart rate start to lower, once I though I was calm enough I gently tried to flutter my eyes open. As soon as I did the light in the room was to overwhelming for my vision causing me to blink a few times before I could see properly.

I assessed my surroundings, I was in the room of what looked like a cabin.

There where three large on Walls that were made from wood. On one of the Walls was a door, which neighboured by two large windows, that led out to a verandah. I looked out of the window and was surprised to see a beach. Golden sand connected the land to the crystal clear ocean which ran for a while then disappeared into space, unlike Midgard.

I looked down at my body my arms and feet were free of any restrictions but had scratches, bruises, stains of dried blood and a few bandages on them. They were sore, I felt like every mussel in my body was burning. A groan escaped my lips which must have caught the attention of the people in the next room, for when I started to sit up a young girl, maybe fifteen and an elderly man, who looked around sixty walked in.

I froze and looked at them, as they stood staring at me and the room fell awkwardly quiet quite quickly. "Uh... Hi" I said, smiling awkwardly and giving them a small wave. "H-how are you feeling." Asked the girl timidly. She was shy and maybe even....afraid? "Um, yeah I'm fine but...how did I get here?" I asked.

The girl had gotten even more shy and practically hid herself behind the old man. "My granddaughter found you on the beach." He said, I thought back for a moment and tried to remember what happened last, "She called me over and we took you back here to treat you after you fell unconscious." I stared at them confused.

"No, that couldn't have happened, I-I... I remember walking in the woods with Loki and then," I as I tried to remember what happened next but.....my mind fell blank, I couldn't remember anything after that. But obviously something had happened because I was battered and bruised with cuts all along my body.

"And then?" The old man urged me to continue. "Well then I don't know.... Then it all goes blank." I said quietly. "Well something big must of happened because it seems like you had washed up from the ocean." The girl said. "Washed up!?" I asked in shock. "Yes." Answered the man.

I sighed deciding that I would figure it out later. "Well thank you for saving me and for your hospitality, letting me stay in your home and for treating my wounds, but I must leave now I have to get back to the palace and-" "Whoa, now hold on young lady, your not going anywhere." The old man said firmly.

I started at him surprised, usually if you ever said that to a royal the guards would take you away for beheading, but I'm not that cruel. "Well I'm sorry to disappoint you but I'm afraid I must go, I need to alert my father and Thor that I am well, they're probably worried for me." I said as I began to swing my legs over the edge of the bed but stopped, as I winced in pain.

"Well I'M sorry to disappoint YOU, but your injured and have just woken up so you are staying here for the night and we'll fix you up in the morning. I will not have another word about it, are we clear?" He said sternly, I shut my mouth in response. "I'll take that as a yes." He quietly muttered. He then signalled for the young girl to follow him and they began walking away.

"Wait! I don't even know your name." I called, but the old man continued walking. The young girl stopped and turned to look at me before answering, "My name is Bergdis and that was my grandfather Áki, but I call him Papa." She gave me a soft smile before leaving the room and closing the door gently.

Hey Guys,

Yay! TSLNO 2 is finally up! This is the first official chapter the last was just an A/N as it says. I hope you guys liked reading TSLNO and I hope you will like reading TSLNO.

This book is a continuation of Nessa's journey after she has been washed onto shore after surviving the push off the cliff into the ocean in the last book. Now is you haven't read the last book PLEASE read it now because you will not get this book if you don't.

This chapter is dedicated to Lorki_Laufeyson because her Loki fanfiction 'Framed' and it's sequel 'Madness' are AMAZING. You should read them I've just recently finished reading Madness and the ending was so sweet I would've cried.

Anyway, Nessa can't remember oh my gosh! But Aw, she's concerned for Loki. Names! Áki simply means father and Bergdis means rescue goddess because she 'rescued' Nessa when she found her washed up on the shore. And yes she was washed up and lived, you didn't think I'd kill Nessa off did you?

Anyway, comment your thoughts and opinions on this book, you can also comment your ideas and just message them to me.Who ever watched Iron man 3 recently comment your thoughts and opinions on that, I saw the first screening thing at 12 am, it was awesome.

Also Nessa's eyes in this book and also the last are BLUE I changed it because win I first started writing I didn't know what her colour would be. You might randomly see 'brown' eyes in TSLNO cause I didn't really look through it but I have changed the first chapter where Loki describes her.
