"We're not lost-"

"Oh yeah?"

"Y-yeah, I think we're going the right way and if it wasn't for you, we wouldn't even have made it this far." She smiled.

He stared at her for a good minute with an unreadable expression. "Why do you always do that?"

"Do what?" she blinked up at him surprised to see the sudden calm on his face.

"We could be in the shittiest situations, and you always manage to..."

"To what?"

"Nevermind." Shaking his head, he pressed his lips together staying silent for a while.

"You should get some sleep."

"So should you." He said, looking at her from the corner of his eyes. "You know this is one of the first times we just sat together like this."

Furrowing her brows, she stared hard at the ground in front of her. "No, it's not. There was another time." Pausing, she debated on whether to bring up one of the most important times in her life. "You remember back home...when everything was just so messed up. and we had to leave UA? There was a time I couldn't sleep being so worried about everything going on around us... But I always seemed to have you to talk to. Even if it wasn't for long. It did help me even if you didn't realize it at the moment. She smiled to herself. "And I never got to say thank you."

Feeling the oh so familiar fluttering in his stomach that at first, he thought was a bad case of indigestion during their first year, but after some time, came to realize it wasn't and that he was just crushing hard on the girl that liked his childhood friend.

With the sudden racing of his heart and palms sweaty, he hesitantly turned his head to stare at her. Mouth parted to tell her somethings he's wanted to for the longest time he saw her lift her eyes to the sky and with a sad breath whispered. "I just miss everyone back home...all our friends..."

And with that he snapped his mouth shut, understanding he could never compare.

"By the way you never answered the question before. Other than being able to train and fight villains what else do you miss back home?"

"I already said I wasn't answering." He scowled, getting to his feet and walking back.

"Oh, come on Bakugo, there has to be something." She smiled happily skipping up to him and blocking his exit. "Anything at all."

"Round-face-"

"Nothing?"

"Fine! You wanna know what I miss? I miss not having to deal with a bunch of worthless people like you- who think they can make everything better, but they just can't! there Happy?" he said, pushing past her and leaving her standing there with glazed eyes.

"Threatened by a ruthless demon, humanity was on the brink of destruction. All seemed lost until a lone mage stepped forward and-"

"ARE YOU SHITTING ME?!" Bakugo barked stubbornly trudging along the wet forest. The next afternoon wasn't any better. As for her part she made sure to keep her distance while following along down a dirt path and over a slippery slope due to the weather opening up and deciding to pour down on them with no end in sight.

"Alright I've gotta ask, how much longer?" Kaminari shouted over the heavy rain splashing down on them and the cloaks they were given already completely soaked. "Cause I gotta tell you I'm not loving this!"

Squinting his eyes to see their path in front of them Bakugo shouted over his shoulder. "I think I see a town or something not too far off. If we make it there, then we can hopefully find someplace to wait out this damn rain."
