Chapter 2: Enter Asta

Start from the beginning

"Got that shit right." Bakugo said absently staring at the ground.

Hearing the continued talking from her friends and the crackle of the fire, Uraraka slowly lifted her gaze to see Bakugos's sullen expression as he threw in another rock. She's been noticing it more and more as the days passed. Back home at least she always had something to occupy herself with when her mind kept wandering to thoughts of him even when he was constantly making her days harder. But now that she literally had to spend every waking moment with him it was becoming more and more obvious to her that something was bothering him.

"Ochaco?"

Tilting her head she saw them all staring expectedly at her. "Guess it's my turn." She hummed. "Ok let's see...I guess I could never go wrong with Mochi." She teased receiving playful groans all around. "Alright, I'll agree with Kirishima that I do miss all our friends back home." She smiled fondly.

"Midoriya." Kaminari chuckled covering his mouth.

"W-what?! Not like that! W-we're just friends...." She flailed her hands in front of her face before covering her warm cheeks.

"Ochaco your face is so red!" Mina pointed out nudging her playfully.

With a small smile Kirishima nodded, subtly sneaking a peek at the silent blond who just continued to glare at the flames. Kirishima wasn't going to lie, the situation they were in wasn't the best by any means. But maybe in some weird mysterious way it could give his best friend some type of closure. It didn't take a genius to know how his friend felt about the gravity user since day one. But with that came along the knowledge that she had obviously set her sights on someone else and knowing Bakugo that meant one thing.

"You already said that!" Kaminari rolled his eyes at Bakugo's same answer of as the previous few days which were training and fighting villains.

"Well, it's true." Bakugo snapped. "Besides I never wanted to play this stupid game!"

"Party pooper." Mina waved her hands. "Tell us something else!"

"Forget this." Getting to his feet Bakugo swiftly walked off leaving the four of them staring after him.

"Well, that's odd." Kaminari yawned leaning back in his makeshift bed. "But I think I'm about to hit the hay. Maybe we'll have better luck tomorrow."

As they slowly drifted off to sleep Uraraka continued to toss and turn until with a huff she quickly got to her feet. Careful not to wake anyone and went in search of her broody classmate, not finding it difficult since he was leaning against a tree stump facing the small riverbank.

With the moon being out tonight and the clear dark sky overhead allowing its silver like orb in the sky to reflect its light on the shimmering water below. She understood why he picked this location.

"What do you want Round-face?" His gruff voice echoed through the silence with only the faint sounds of crikcets.

"Just out for a walk." She shrugged before hesitantly sitting down next to him making sure to give him his space.

"At this time?" he said giving her a sideways glance. "If you missed my company all you had to do was say so."

"I..." Feeling her face redden she stubbornly looked away hoping he didn't catch that but sadly all that hope was quickly throw away by the satisfied smirk on his face. "I was meaning to ask if everything was alright."

"Tch, why wouldn't it be." He scoffed gesturing all around them. "We're stuck who knows where, with only one way home which seems to be broken. And it seems to me that it feels like we're going in fuckin circles."
