The house and soon fallen into silence, the screams and crashing of furniture had settled. One would certainly be able to hear a pin drop. Caleb's breathing had grown heavy as he hid himself under his bed, to afraid to emerge. Though the longer he led there the more the silence was driving him crazy. He was just waiting for whoever had broken into his home to come up the stairs and find him. But it never happened, had they left? He soon found some courage to pull himself out from under his bed and stand himself up, his body trembled with fear as he very slowly made his way out of his room making sure to keep his footsteps light and as quiet as possible just in case the person, or persons were still inside. He crept his way down the stairs which led into the hallway.. his body froze with fear and seeing the lifeless body of his father on the ground by the door to the living room.. his body bloody and eyes wide open. Caleb took a deep breath and made his way closer, he wasn't stupid he knew his father was dead. As he stepped over the threshold of the hallway into the lounge stepping over his father's body he was met with an other horrifying sight. His mother's body which seemed to be jolting slightly so he hurried towards her hoping she was alive.
But she was far from it, like his father she was dead.. her blue eyes staring up at him.. that was when he noticed the creature feeding from his mother.. its eyes was almost blood red and it bared its extremely large and sharp fangs at him.. Caleb attempted to hurry backwards but fell over his own feet. The creature growled and lunged for him its sharp teeth aiming straight for his face..

Caleb's eyes quickly shot open staring up at the beamed ceiling of his attic bedroom.. another nightmare.. images of that night still haunted the poor boy it had been a year since it had happened yet he could never get those images of his parents out of his mind.
" Caleb! Breakfast is ready" the soft Scottish tone of his aunts voice called up from the bottom floor of the London Town house. With a huff Caleb pushed himself up so he was sat, bringing his hand to his face he rubbed away the nightmare wanting to get the images out of his head so he could focus on the day ahead.

It was time for him to return to hogwarts, he had been away for the entirety of his fourth year his uncle had said it was so he could take his time to recover from that night witnessing his parents murder and being attacked himself. Yes that was one of the reasons the other was because he had been attacked by a werewolf and infected with the curse of lycanthropy. With being so young at the time his uncle felt it was necessary to keep him home to help him cope with the effects of his curse and learn to live with it before having to deal with being at school. In this time away though Micheal had done his best to homeschool him and keep him up to date with all his school work. He had confided in Professor Fig to help in that department, since he was also the only one besides his aunt and uncle who knew of his condition.

After a moment of just sitting and ridding himself of the nightmare he soon stood himself up from his bed and made his way into his bathroom, splashing his face with some water he stared up at the mirror, the golden eyes of his reflection staring back at him, a constant reminder of his curse. His worries of being outed as a werewolf lingered in the back of his mind, surely they would notice, his eyes were almost shinning and he had three long claw scars over his left eye. His fear was that they would soon work out what he was and send him straight to the ministry. He knew how the ministry treated werewolves since his parents were part of the werewolf capture department. It wouldn't matter if his was only fifteen he would be seen as a danger and destroyed.

" do you really think he's ready to go back to school?.." Charlotte had asked with a worried tone as she piled some bacon onto a plate placing it In the centre of the kitchen table. Micheal her husband peered over the daily prophet he was reading shaking his head slightly, " of course he's ready my dear.. we can't keep him cooped up here for much longer, he needs to get back to school and begin to feel like himself again " Micheal replied placing the paper down he looked over at his wife seeing the worry she had in her eyes. " What if something goes wrong.. " Micheal rubbed his hand over his bearded face with a sigh. " He will be fine Charlotte.. it will be better for him there than it is here.. Professor Fig has ensured that everything is put in place to make sure he and everyone else is safe" he stood himself up from his chair and made his way over to her taking sausage from the plate she was just dishing up which had earned him a slap on the hand.

" He's ready Charlotte I'm sure of it... he has done well. " Charlotte nodded as she placed the plates down on the table followed by some toast and scrambled eggs. Before she could say much more Caleb had appeared in the doorway with a smile he made his way to the table and sat himself down soon filling his plate with as much food as he could. His aunt and uncle had soon joined him. The three of them sat together and enjoyed one last breakfast together before Caleb had to leave for Hogwarts.

" Right have you packed everything you will need? Tooth brush? Ties? " Charlotte seemed frantic as the three reached platform 9 3/4. Micheal had to give her hand a tight squeeze in a way to tell her to calm down. Caleb just laughed and nodded his head as he stopped his trolley as they reached the train. " Yes Charlotte I have everything I need " Caleb had one Quick Look at the red train, feeling somewhat nervous, as though this was his first day all over again. There was no excitement like before though, just a small hint of fear though he did his best not to show it as he didn't want Charlotte to worry anymore than she already was. " Fig has ensured everything is in place for when you get there, it will be ok I promise " Micheal kept his voice low since the platform was busy, he placed a hand on Caleb's shoulder and gave it a gentle pat before pulling the boy in for a hug. With a smile Caleb wrapped an arm around his uncle. Sure he was extremely worried that something would go wrong. It wasn't exactly an ideal situation, a werewolf at hogwarts but he hoped that Professor Fig was true to his word and would keep him and others safe.

After a brief moment Micheal soon let go of his nephew so Charlotte could say her goodbyes, her eyes were already welling up as she was holding back from crying, she was a rather sensitive woman and saw Caleb as a son since she was unable to have children of her own, Caleb fitted that spot perfectly. " I'm going to miss you dear " she finally spoke before wrapping her arms around and placing a soft kiss on his cheek " you be safe and promise to write to me every chance you get " Caleb laughed and patted his aunts back before slowly slipping out of her grasp " I promise Charlotte I will write to you " Charlotte smiled and placed a hand on his cheek her eyes fixated on the yellow in his and the three scratches that covered one side of his face. With the threat of bursting into tears loomed she soon removed her hand and stepped back slightly , bumping into his trunk and the cage on top which had caused the small owl to screech loudly " you I won't miss " she cursed at the small bird which was attempting to peck at her through the wire. Caleb approached pushing a finger through the bars he scratched the owl on the back of the head soon settling it once again " Thrax is just misunderstood Charlotte" he teased knowing full well she despised the owl and the feeling was certainly mutual with Thrax.

The horn of the train soon sounded, signaling it was almost ready for departure " best hurry and get your seat" with one last hug to his aunt and uncle Caleb soon made his way onto the train. Walking down the cabins he found an empty booth. Seating himself by the window so he could see them. The train soon pulled away from the station leaving his aunt and uncle stood on the platform waving to him until he could no longer see them. This was it, he was heading back to hogwarts. Naturally he was excited to return to school but the fear of his condition was looming in the back of his mind.
