Chapter 13: First Day of Classes

Silence! Snape ordered

Snape who felt insulted, then approached Harry's desk and sat down in front of him, Harry then looked straight into his eyes nervous at what he might say.

"For your information Potter, asphodel and wormwood create a sleeping potion so powerful it known as the Draught of the Living Dead, a bezoar is a stone taken from a stomach of a goat and it will save you from most poisons, and for monkswood and wolfbane they are the same plant which also goes by the name of aconite..well why aren't you all copying this down?"

Everyone in the entire then started writing down what Snape was saying.

And Gryffindors you should note that five points will taken from your house for your classmate's cheek said Snape

Snape looked at Harry with a cold look on his face, Snape hated him with a passion and though Harry didn't know why he had it out for him, he wasn't going to let him get the better of him.

After Potions Class, all the students went to the Great Hall to work on their school work, while everyone was working on their assignments, Seamus Finnegan was working on a spell on a glass of water

Eye of rabbit, harp string hum, turn this water into rum said Seamus trying to cast the spell

What's Seamus trying to do to that glass of water?
Harry asked Henry and Ron

I'm guessing he's trying a defective spell like Ron said Henry

Turn it to rum, he actually to weak tea yesterday before- said Ron

Before Ron could finish his sentence, they heard a loud explosion and in a puff of smoke, the spell Seamus cast worked but it caused an explosion and he was covered in soot and everyone started laughing, then Harry, Henry and Ron heard the sounds of owls which meant one thing, the post was here.

The owls flew into Great Hall dropped off letters, packages and newspapers to all the students, Harry didn't get any mail from the Dursleys, but he got a nice letter from Henry's aunt and uncle wishing him luck on his first day of school, as for Henry he also got a letter from his relatives and also got a gift from his uncle Oliver which was an old Gryffindor sweater which belonged to him when he first Hogwarts back in the 1960's.

As for the other students Ron got a box of brownies from his mother which his brothers Fred and George stole and started eating much to his annoyance, Hermione got a letter from her parents and a book by an author she'd never heard of, Gilderoy Lockhart, and her friend Robin got a lovely letter from her father and a book The Little White Horse by one of her favourite Muggle-born author Elizabeth Goudge, and as for Neville Longbottom he got a gift from her grandmother, A Remembrall

Hey look Neville's got a Remembrall said Dean Thomas

I've read about those, if the smoke turns red it means you've forgotten something said Hermione

The smoke in Neville's Remembrall then turned red, which means he forgot something, but he didn't know what it was he forgot.

The only problem is I can't remember what I've forgotten said Neville

Uh Neville, where are your robes? asked Braxton

Oh bugger!, I'll be right back said Neville as he got up and went to look for his robes

Harry was the reading the latest issue of The Daily Prophet, and there was an article about a break in at Gringotts that really caught his attention so he showed it to Henry, Ron and Braxton.

Hey guys someone broke into Gringotts said Harry

Henry, Ron and Braxton then gathered around Harry as he read the article.

"Believed to be the work of dark wizards or witches unknown, Gringotts goblins while acknowledging the breach insist nothing was taken, the vault is question number 713 had in fact been emptied earlier that very same day"

That's odd, that's the vault Hagrid took us too said Harry

What do you mean? asked Ron

Well when my dad took the three of us to Gringotts, he took something out of Vault 713 said Braxton

What was it? asked Ron

He didn't say, he said it was Hogwarts business, whoever broke in must've been looking for it said Henry

Harry, Henry, Ron, Braxton and even Hermione and Robin who heard their conversation were curious about whatever was in Vault 713 at Gringotts, they didn't know what is was, but it must be something important, they decided not to focus on it for now, as their next class was one they're most excited for, flying lessons.
