"i love your cats" chris smiled while ginger and matcha were climbing on his lap for the hundredth time this day.
"they seem to love you too" tills answered, looking up from her book.
they were hanging out in her house again for the literally 27th time this week, both of them lying on her bed. she was immersed in a book while he was scrolling through tiktok on his phone, occasionally admiring her from afar. the room was quiet and peaceful, and it felt like the world had stopped for a moment.
"you look adorable with glasses on" as she read her book, she could feel chris's eyes on her.
"blindness is so cute" she laughed and put her head on his shoulder.
chris felt a sense of peacefulness as he watched her, lost in her own world. he was grateful for the calmness that she brought into his life. she was a quiet girl who usually listened to him yapping all the time but he knew deep down that she adored that in him.
