Meant to Be

It was a Saturday night, Shima had invited me to go to her house whilst the others weren't around to read more Mirage Saga doujinshi. Of course, I had to accept! I fangirled and read so many of them that night with Shima, it was so much fun!

Without me noticing, it was already extremely late in the night, and so, Shima offered to have me stay the night, which I gladly accepted.

I got ready for bed by brushing my teeth, putting on my pajamas that Shima described as "so cute and adorable", and got back to her room, where, not really to my surprise considering she's rich, a king size bed laid upon me. Was she really going to have me sleep in the same bed as her!?
As I was panicking, a bit flustered just thinking about us sleeping in the same bed, Shima came in.

"Finally ready to head to bed, Kae?"
"Of course! But...where exactly did you plan on having me sleeping?"
"On the bed, if that wasn't obvious enough. There's enough space on it, don't worry. It's a king size bed, afterall."

I got all flustered at that, I knew that would happen! As I was blushing hard, she must have noticed, because she suddenly approached me.

"What, does it make you shy to sleep on the same bed as me?"
"OF COURSE NOT!" I replied, which caused her to slightly chuckle. Gosh, that girl really knows how to get me all red.
"With that being said, I'll be closing the lights, so get in the bed already! I'll join you right after," she said as she winked. I hurried to the bed, and right after, the lights came off. Only the lamp on the nightstand was left to shine its light.

I slowly saw her approach the bed, and then get on it. As I was looking at her getting on, she looked back at me, with eyes that drew me in. Her face got extremely near me, with her gaze as present as ever, I couldn't look away. As her lips slightly parted, she finally spoke:

"Quite a fun evening we had, huh?"
"Yes! I always really enjoy spending time with you, Shima."
"I'm glad that's the case, I always have a great time with you too, Kae. We're meant to be, I just know it."

My cheeks reddened as she whispered those words: "Meant to be." She had always said these kinds of things to me, but it felt different this time, to me, atleast. After a small pause, I finally said:

"Yes, we're meant to be, aren't we?"

She seemed a little surprised by me saying this. Not that I had never told her this, but this time I had completely sincere and loving intentions when I said it, so perhaps she picked up on that.

"If we're meant to be then...can I kiss you again? I don't want the kiss to be a surprise to you this time around."
"...you may," I said shyly.

Gosh, was this really happening!? I was such a wreck as I said it, my cheeks were redder than a tomato!

"Then...if you'd let me," she whispered in my ear.

She then proceeded to kiss me, firmly but gently holding my face. Our kiss only deepened as time went, we were holding each other so close. When we finally stopped, I could feel her breath go on my neck. She was as excited as I was, I could tell. After just a slight moment, we continued, holding each other even closer.

We were just pressing our bodies together by then, but we were so close to one another that my heart throbbed like never before. As our eyes met, I could truly feel my love for her, it could only be love! I knew it for sure. I love her! I want to be with her! We were meant to be, it's fate!

"I love you, Shima," I finally said.
"I love you too, Kae. You're so adorable, so cute, I just want to eat you up. The way you act, your personality, it makes my heart melt every time."
"So...are we officially going out, now?"
"Yes. We're meant to be, afterall."

As we smiled to each other, I fell into her embrace, and we fell asleep. It was the most peaceful sleep I'd had in forever. The next morning, I woke up next to her. As I was looking at her, still feeling like yesterday was a dream, her maid came to her room to announce that breakfast was ready.Me and Shima got up, and, happier than ever, we smiled at each other, holding hands.
