"You two look great." Julian said, pulling at his ear nervously. Asra smiled and thanked him as he nudged me to thank Julian as well.

"You don't look too bad yourself." i smiled, immediately regretting my word choice. Julian didn't seem to mind too much, which made me feel better. Asra shook his head and smiled before taking my hand and walking towards the beach. I skipped a little, quickening my pace as we walked. I may not have known where i was going but i could hear the beach. I could hear the waves and smell the sand, it only excited me. I turned to Asra, who was talking to Julian. He made eye contact with me and nodded, pointing straight, allowing me to jump ahead.

"We'll be right behind you, I'll stop you if you get too far out of sight." Asra said, waving me on. I smiled, skipping along the sidewalk. I knew people were watching me, a twenty-five year old skipping down the sidewalk and acting like a child. I was usually self conscious about these kinds of things but, i was far too excited. I stopped, practically mid-skip to turn to Asra. I pointed to the beach, where the sidewalk ended and the sandy grass began. Asra held his hand up to tell me to wait. I nodded, turning to see the horizon. The moon reflected the ocean beautifully, making the water look brilliant. The entirety of the scene was beautiful. White sand, the stars collectively reflecting on the ocean as the moon rippled in the water. My mouth hung open in awe at the scene. Asra joined me while Julian stood on his other side.

"Stunning, isn't it?" Asra sighed, wrapping an arm around my waist. I nodded.

"I've missed this." Julian said solemnly, looking out at the beach longing for something. I looked to Asra, silently asking if i could go onto the sand. He nodded, allowing me to run. I slipped my flip-flops off, slipped them into my tote bag and shoved it into Asra's chest. He laughed as i ran out onto the beach. Julian slid his crocs off and handed them to Asra, who took them while rolling his eyes. The lanky man bolted towards me, running as fast as he could. I let out a squeal as i turned, my original intent was to smile at Asra however, Julian crashed into me. I assume he wasn't expecting to run straight into me nor did he expect me to turn around. Julian tried his best to stop himself but, crashed into me nonetheless. It was a bit of a blur, im a little unsure of how exactly happened but, i ended up on top of Julian. We were extremely close to each other, both of our chests heaving. The texture of his hoodie was soft against my now bare chest. Julian's cold hands rested on either side of my waist, holding me close and secure. His hair was now sandy but a shining ruby color in the moonlight.

"That was quite the fall! Are you two, okay?" Asra called, stumbling from the sidewalk to meet us.

"Yeah, we're fine!" Julian answered, not taking his glistening silver eyes off of me. It took a moment for me to realize i was still on top of Julian. I scrambled to climb off of him. It became a mess of 'i'm sorries' and 'are you okays' as we struggled to stand up. Julian brushed some of the sand from his head while i brushed off his hoodie.

"I'm so sorry," i said. "I was trying to look at Asra." i sighed, disappointed in myself.

"Don't worry about it. I'm just glad i was able to grab you before you fell." Julian laughed, turning to check on me. He gave me a once over, checking for any bruising. I laughed quietly.

"I'm alright thanks to you." i smiled but, Julian paused, still looking concerned. Asra was able to join us now. He put his hand on my shoulder, silently asking if i was alright. I nodded to him before speaking to Julian.

"Is everything okay?" i asked, puzzled by his expression.

"How long have you had those scars?" Julian pointed to my chest. I looked down, unsure at first but i ended up explaining.

"Well, the one on my stomach is from my childhood, we don't really know what caused it. The ones on my chest are top surgery scars. In short, i'm transgender." i smiled nervously. I usually just passed for a more feminine guy and i didn't want to make being transgender my entire personality. Julian let out a little 'huh', not in a bad sense just more of a 'i never would have known' which made me smile. Asra smiled to us both and nodded for us to follow him down the beach, closer to the shore. Julian and I laughed to one another, laughing for being so clumsy. Asra pulled a picnic blanket out of his bag and had us help him set it out. He sighed as he plopped down on the blanket. I set my things by Asra's before running out towards the sea. Julian followed me quietly, i knew he was there, he wasn't exactly silent.
