7:00am
My eyes fluttered as I tried my best to keep them open. The suns rays shone through the large, tinted windows enveloping me in a warmth similar to the blanket I used not so long ago.
I pushed the button nearest to me waiting for that beep to signalise the bus stopping at the next stop.
I disliked mornings but going to the gym had become a routine. It made my day feel productive which allowed me to work better in school.
I continued walking towards the entrance, putting my bags and change of shoes in the usual locker. 178. Which was most accessible. I grabbed my water bottle and started my workout.
When I felt my legs caving in and beads of sweat crawling down my face, my workout was over. I grabbed my things from the locker and walked towards the bathroom to change.
I looked at my phone to check any notifications when I slammed into something, dropping my phone.
I bent down attempting to pick it up when a hand took possession over it.
Not a something but a someone.
"Sorry."
"It's fine don't worry about it." I replied, reaching out to grab my phone when the hand jerked back.
I look up at the person confused when I saw their face.
His caramel eyes gazed into my own leaving me speechless. For a moment I scanned him. His tanned complexion, complimented from the sunrise which shone through the glass doors, his hollow cheeks and high cheekbones enhanced from the devilish smirk he wore.
"What are you doing?" I question.
He tilted his head like a curious dog scanning me up and down. My cheeks heated as I met his gaze once again. I stood up in embarrassment, him doing the same.
I stare at my phone in his hand still confused yet flustered.
"So... are you going to give me my phone back?" I ask trying to look annoyed. Yet his charming smile made it hard to be.
"Are you going to give me your number?" He replies.
"Sorry...?" My heart drops at his question leaving me feeling confused, honoured and happy all at once.
"I asked..." Taking a step closer he waved my phone in front of me. "...if I could have your number?"
"Sorry I have a boyfriend." I replied subconsciously knowing damn well I've never dated anyone in my life and I so desperately was willing to give this model of a guy my digits.
"Well thats too bad." His smile deforms into a straight face and I mentally facepalmed. Self sabotage was something I was good at.
I hold out my hand in front of me and he places my phone in my hand, not missing the opportunity to brush his fingers along mine.
He gave me a lopsided smile and made his away towards the gym and I watch in agony as my future husband walks away from me.
I spent 20 minutes in the shower cursing at myself not realising how bad my legs ached from the high intensity workout I'd just completed.
After I had changed I grabbed my things and began my journey to school.
Usually it took me 15mins to walk from the gym to school, but being the first day of the year, I decided I wanted to buy breakfast. I loved food and maybe that would help me forget about what just happened.
After about 10mins of walking from the bakery to school I finally arrive and already spot one of my friends. A sigh of relief escapes me and I speed walk towards her wanting to vent about earlier events.
