It's hard to stay awake in a place that only want's to sleep. To dream of that better tomorrow, that better future.
These eyes of mine, they have seen the skies, light and dark. They have witnessed these tired words I hold inside. Forever they stay deeply in-cased, amongst my thoughts of a day, the memories of then, the truth of al these lies.
I can no longer fight through these strings of guilt. As there is no going back, it just gets swept aside with you.
As I sit amongst the tall grass, the tickle of life upon my skin, I think of what was, you, me, them. Everywhere, it is silenced now. No longer shall I hear that sound, as the world has stopped, closed his eyes and is now just waiting. Waiting for that sound to change him.
