In the year 2007 , Ailsa bumps into a random girl at the les circuit where she is waiting to race.She stutters " S-sorry ." The random girl said "It is okay . You're Charles' sister right ." Ailsa nods her head and says " Yes I am Ailsa and you are Mia long. um we should go to the track ." From that day on they became the best of friends and Mia was there when her dad died and her godfather died as well .Not only is she her best mate but she is also dating her brother .It is now 2022 , they start the season as the new rookies of f1 racing for Alpha Tauri and Ferrari .
The first race of the season,is the most nerve racking experience you can even imagine. Sunday morning,they walk through the paddock ready to race each other and score points . The race starts and everyone has a great start to the race until the 3rd lap where something is wrong with Ailsa's car and she just manages to stop it but Max Verstappen crashes into her.Ailsa storms into the garage and kicks the chair and walks off to do her interviews but answers them coldly and with no respect . As she storms off from the interview pen she walks past Max and he gives her the evil look as she crashed into him when she had engine problems. Journalists saw this interaction and started to ask Max about it. He answers" Well we don't get on as well as me and her brother do. Plus she crashed into me so that is a fair reason why ?"
In the joined fia motorhome , Ailsa sits there cooling down from the race and seeing Max again and thinking about how she messed up already.Speaking of the devil Ailsa thinks to herself as he walks over to her and Ailsa clears her tears away.He says " I never actually thought Ferrari would hire a girl as their driver for F1. '' Ailsa stands up and is about to walk away as she is not in the mood to speak him but he grabs her wrist to where she pushes him off and shouts"You know not to fucking touch me ! Just leave me alone as I am not in the mood to talk to you as you said it was my fault you crashed into me !" She walks off and punches a wall as Max stands there in shock he shouts back " Weirdo !" but he feels bad for saying that to her .
Monday morning they flew back home to Monaco for a week before Saudi Arabia.Mia and Ailsa were chilling outside when they heard Charles talking to someone.When they go in to see what is going on Ailsa sees boxes and an upset looking Max . As much as Ailsa hates Max she gives him a hug and says " I am sorry about what made you upset ."Max says "She cheated on me with some guy and I couldn't live at mine as it brought too many memories." Ailsa lets go and shows him to his room so he can sleep for a bit whilst they empty the boxes he has .Charles looks at Ailsa and says " Are you ok with him staying ?" Ailsa nods her head a bit hesitant as she gets lost in her own thoughts .
The following Monday morning , the teams are off to Saudi Arabia for the next race of the year. Mia and Charles still on high from their race as Charles came 1st and Natasha 4th. When they arrive they walk over to Lando to give him a lift. Ailsa looks at Charles and says "Are we giving Lan a lift ." Charles responds with "Yes we are." They all leave the airport and get in the car as Charles and Mia are in the front that leaves Ailsa in the back next to Max and Lando .Ailsa sticks her music in so she can calm herself down as she starts to overthink everything but the thing that keeps popping into her head is what Max said to her at the last race. Max saw her leg bouncing along with Charles who saw in the mirror and saw Max place his hand on her leg to stop it bouncing.
They arrived at the hotel to check in as all the drivers are on the same floor. It was nice and easy to get to so they can all have a chat .Everyone heads to their rooms to chill out a bit before a busy week . Ailsa sat on her bed listening to a bit of music as she heard a knock on the door. She pauses her music and opens it and to she sees Max standing there quite awkwardly. She lets him in as he walks past her and says " I am sorry about what I said to you last race ." Ailsa says with tears in her eyes"You are not wrong though why would they .I fucked up on my first race ." Max has never seen this side of Ailsa so he goes and gives her a hug like she gave him a week ago " Hey you deserve that seat . Don't let my words ever change that ."
