Chapter 1 Ben's First Day Jitters

Ben's alarm clock blared, jolting him awake. He groaned, rubbing his eyes as he remembered today was his first day of high school. He'd been tossing and turning all night, nervous about what awaited him at his new school.

Ben heads downstairs to have some breakfast, "Good Morning Ben" said Ben's Mother. "Good Morning Mom" said Ben
Ben's Mother asked him " are you ready to start at your new school" as she smiled at Ben. Ben glanced at his mother and said in mumbled voice " yeah... I guess" said Ben. Ben's Mother sat next to him and said " don't worry you will do great" said Ben's Mother

After breakfast Ben grabbed his backpack said goodbye to his mother and headed out the door. On the walk to school it felt longer than usual, his mind racing with thoughts of making friends, finding his classes, and trying to fit in.

As he approached the school, Ben's heart pounded in his chest. He took a deep breath and walked through the front doors. The hallways were bustling with students, and Ben felt a wave of anxiety wash over him. He clutched his schedule in one hand and tried to blend in with the crowd.

Finding his first class was a challenge, but Ben eventually made it just as the bell rang. He found a seat in the back of the room, hoping to go unnoticed. But as the teacher called roll, Ben couldn't help but feel the eyes of his classmates on him.

Lunchtime was even more daunting. Ben stood in line, tray in hand, scanning the crowded cafeteria for a place to sit. He spotted a table with a few empty seats and nervously made his way over. "Is this seat taken?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

To his relief, the other students welcomed him, and Ben soon found himself chatting and laughing with his new friends. Those kids were Zac, Mandy, And Alice
