" Your children? They're mine too Giannina" I replied slightly annoyed knowing that an argument would occur. She'd always refer to Sienna and Benjamin as her children like I'm not even their farther anymore. " I know Sergio, but it's time for them to come home" she said walking into the other room whilst I followed. "Why didn't you just ask me to fly them over? And this has been their home for the past five years" I said wondering why she would have made the effort to collect them herself.
"I know for a fact Sienna wont want to come home, so I'm here to make sure she does" she said sitting on the chair. I say opposite her trying to connect my eyes with hers. She seems different, almost cold. The sweet, loving Giannina was not there anymore although she looked amazing I could tell that she's been having a bad time these past few months. I hesitated but asked anyway "why would it be such a bad thing if she stayed here with me" Her head shot up instantly, yet still no eye contact."I'm not saying it would be a bad thing Sergio but she's been there since she was born, that's where we both raised her and therefore it is her home" Giannina replied adjusting the very expensive looking dark sunglasses on her head.
"Her home is wherever she is happy" I said slightly annoyed by her reply.
"It's not just me, the family miss her,we all want them back home, Rod misses them too" she sighed. My body tensed up as those words left her mouth. How dare she even mention his name under my roof.
"Dont you are. Do you think I miss them Giannina? This past eight months have been torture for me, I have spent them alone in a different country to my children and my family. Sienna never wanted to leave here, since I am her father I have a say in where she is"
She rolled her eyes " I know you're her father Sergio, Rod will be soon too" my blood boiled with anger as the words spat out of her mouth. "What do you mean" I raised my voice. "We're engaged" she smiled showing me her left hand. "Over my dead body!" I spat out. Suddenly Jumping up kicking the chair across the room.
"It took you six months, six months to be engaged to a man who is using you, don't you see it Gianinna he is not good for you, you hardly know him! , " by this time she had stood up with her body facing me, throwing her sunglasses down.
"How dare you say that he is using me, just because I have moved on Sergio, that doesn't give you the right, why can't I be happy".
"I have every right as I am the father to your children, and also still remain your husband" I replied walking over to the corner of the room trying not to look at her.Her body froze and her face shone in embarrassment. Before she could speak again I turned and moved closer to her whispering "we're still husband and wife"
"You're still the father of my children Sergio and I'll be forever grateful for that but we have separate lives now and I need my children in mine" she spoke.
" what about if they don't want to live with you in Argentina" I questioned.
" WELL THEN THATS TOUGH" she screamed. Now looking at me in the eyes for the first time. As our eyes locked for a few seconds I began to get angrier about the situation.
"Sienna doesn't want to go, she hates Rodriguez and she hates the woman you have become" I said painfully.
"Don't you dare talk to me like that about my children, I know those kids a lot more than you do, so don't try and play the father of the year card with me" she said shaking with anger. Making me tip over the edge.
" I know everything about my children Giannina" I said surely.
" you think you do, when in reality they don't tell you anything, Siennas to scared to tell you anything because she knows how over protective you are" she said coming closer. "That is not true" I said in a questioning tone.
" well do you know that she has been seeing a boy" she said with a smug look, satisfied with herself. "What?" I whispered not believing what I had just heard. "She would have told me" I replied. "Samir Nasri. And all of this time you have been spending with your son and not your daughter, god only knows what they have been up to" she stated shaking with anger.
