Start from the beginning

" why are you helping me?" You were skeptical, taking the papers and finding Gojo's report on the case

" because...I lost people that night too. If anyone is close to finding the culprit, it's you" Geto trusted you. " what if I'm not up for it" you tested him

" for a special grade? You can clear through it easily" Geto knew. It shocked you a bit, you didn't know Geto was aware of your abilities

" aren't you smart" you compliment

" mhmm...I can help you, you know, so you are safe" Geto continued, worried for your mental well being. He saw how your eyes were tired and the fact your hair was tangled . In truth, he found himself in you, thirsty for blind revenge

If it hadn't been for the support of the others, Geto would've been tired of his life. You were probably the first person that changed his perspective for good

" I'm fine. This is my problem alone." You made sure of it. You didn't want anyone else to be caught in your own affairs

Geto didn't seem to argue back, he was silent for a couple of seconds. " ..I'm taking a break for a while. From school." You planned.

You honestly didn't care how long it would take you to find that curse. You needed to kill it.

" why are you telling me this..?" Geto stared into your eyes, searching for answers. " because I trust you. Now please don't tell the others, especially Gojo" you laced your secrets into Geto

Geto was baffled you would trust him out of all people. He thought you would tell Shoko first but you didn't seem to.

Geto simply nodded, watching you walk over to the door, " did you and him argue?" Geto could only imagine

You took a deep breath, " something like that." You commented, closing the door

——— THE NEXT DAY

You breathed in the scent of an isolated street.

You remembered you woke up on  your desk. You had spent the whole night researching about the curse. Even for a hint on its whereabouts.

You look at the red circle in the middle of your map.
This was it. You were going there. You had taken the bus and walked the whole way.

The location was at an abandoned apartment complex. You stood in front of it, the skies were dark and gloomy to suit the atmosphere

The gate was locked but you broke it easily, roaming through the lobby of the apartment complex. You sensed a high level of curse energy beneath you.

' of course it's in the basement. Why is it always like that ?' You gawked at the predictable outcome. You peered to your side and noticed a door that said staff only.

You walk over and kick the door open and there was a stair case. 'of course' you felt like you experienced the same feeling before. Your mind relaying back to you and Gojo's mission—-

You clear your mind, not wanting to think of that man. Using your curse energy you prepared yourself down the small steps

——— MEANWHILE

Shoko intensely stared at the door. She was bored out of her mind, clicking her pen mindlessly

She glanced at the door to the classroom she was in. She was expecting you to walk in so you could've talked and made the lesson interesting but surprise surprise, Gojo walked to the door

Shoko lightly scoffed, leaning back in her chair when her eyes met Gojo for a spilt second

" Satoru Gojo, you are late" Yaga wrote on the chalkboard. " sorry sir" Gojo replied, his eyes looking sore and red. His hair a haggard mess from what Shoko's saw

Shoko furrowed her eyebrows. She was expecting you to come from behind him but you never did. " Sir, does [y/n] have a mission today?" Shoko rose her hand, not seeing your name on the mission timetable

" no. She is sick" Yaga simply answered, continuing to scratch the board with his chalk. Gojo heard that while he settled down in his seat

He knew you weren't sick, just avoiding him and he didn't blame you for that.

'Sick?' That's the first time Shoko heard of you taking a day off out of the blue

Shoko looked to Gojo again, his books out and ready as he didn't react to your name . This wasn't like Gojo. Gojo was the type to fidget and nag Yaga, yet he didn't do anything.

Shoko looked back to your seat, the one you always sat at. Something was wrong. She sensed it the moment she heard rain lightly patter on the windows. It wasn't meant to rain today.

And it was going to be a full moon.

——— LATER

You stumble down the steps, turning on a light switch near the end. You expected it not to work but it did

The whole room was dimly lit, the light flickering here and there. Your feet stumbled around, touching the shattered glass on the floor

The place was abandoned alright, there were particles of dust everywhere, it threatened to give you hay fever. There were many clocks around as far as you could tell.

They all ticked at the same time, creating an annoying scratching sound. You stare at the clocks, seeing your reflection in some of them

They were ticking backwards, the hands on the clock almost hitting 12. You felt uneasy. It was like all the clocks were counting down but to what? There was no curse down the 'basement' as far as you could tell

There were no hidden doors as well. So what was it counting down too? And why did you sense curse energy down here?

You stomp on the wooden floor boards. It didn't sound hollow so was your mind acting up? Was your mind playing tricks on you?

Before you could go back upstairs it was as if all the clocks simultaneously hit 12 and started to ring all at once

You covered your ears, the ringing noise threatening to make you go deaf. Thinking quickly you moved up the stairs. You kept moving till the ringing stopped

You didn't have time to process what you did before you were far from the building. ' the hell was that?' You knew it was no coincidence

Before you could stand up properly, you watch as the building explodes before your eyes. Your eyes were wide as the once, whole building collapsed before your eyes.

You cover your face as the warmness of the heat almost touched you. 'Those clocks...they were a ticking time bomb' you concluded, had you not ran away you would've died

Was that the plan? Perhaps the curse sensed you there and knew you would go downstairs.

You had a feeling that the time bombs purpose wasn't just to destroy the building, no. You felt it was a declaration for something much worse.
