++Nezuko++: 'Yeah! Btw, why DID you do that? I get the whole 'im not attracted' thing. But the secret you kept?'

<3 Tanjiro <3: 'That shouldn't be our main concern at the moment Nez.'

++Nezuko++: 'Why? What's more important than dropping the tea?'

<3 Tanjiro <3: 'This still has somewhat drama I guess but I need your help. I think Kanao is planning something to get back at me. And since you two are close, maybe you could get that information? Please Nez.'

++Nezuko++: 'Huh? Planning something to get ba- oh wait that does sound like something she would do... Yeah, sure. I'll try but I won't guarantee anything, okay?'

<3 Tanjiro <3: 'Alright thanks! That means a lot! Cya later.'

++Nezuko++; 'Cya.'

I felt someone tap my shoulder as I turned off my phone, I turned around to see Mui.

"You okay? Bell went off a few minutes ago," He said tilting his head.

"Oh, it did?! Im fine, I was just caught up in something, give me one sec," I turned around and grabbed the supplies needed for our Eres project. "Okay, let's go," He nodded and we headed to the first period.

We sat down next to each other and the class began. It went on as normal, the same with the next few periods.

Before I knew it, it was time for lunch. We decided to sit on the rooftop again as it wasn't a problem. Plus, Mui was right. It was peaceful up here. I loved it. It was even better with him there.

We talked and laughed as we ate our food. We were interrupted by my phone ringing. I pulled out my phone to see it was Nezuko, I was a bit surprised since Nezuko barely ever called me regardless. Probably hinting it was serious. But I hoped it wasn't.

I dismissed myself from my seat and went down the stairwell where I was alone, I answered the call.

<3Tanjiro<3: "Hey Nez! What's up-?" I asked before she replied in a hurried tone not even a second after I finished speaking.

++Nezuko++: "Look, listen close okay? I was able to find out what she was planning but you can't freak out. Also, before anything, is Muichiro near you?"

<3Tanjiro<3: "No... I left him on the rooftop, why?"

I heard her sigh.

++Nezuko++: "Let's just make the phone call quick then. She told me she was going to get Brian and his little group to beat up Muichiro. She sounds jealous. Of what? I have NO clue."

<3Tanjiro<3: "Alright. Thanks, Nezuko, let's talk more when I get home. I need to go check on Muichiro, cuz ya'know."

After I hung up I practically sprinted up the staircase and flew out the door, turning my head in Mui's direction. He was still eating his food, seeming content and out of mind due to the zoned-out look on his face with a slight blush. He looked up slightly concerned after hearing my panting. 

I was relieved he was okay. 

"Tanjiro, you good?" He asked looking at me approaching him as I smiled softly.

"Yeah, no worries," I reassured him. He didn't seem to believe me but nodded anyway. Now, I had to keep a close eye on Muichiro, as I did not want him to get hurt due to me rejecting a gender I wasn't even attracted to.

"Hey, Tanjiro? I have a question," He looked away, seeming hesitant as a slight blush crept on his face.

"What's up?" I asked curious.

"About the kiss... Did you like it...? Like would you want to do it again...?" Mui asked his face turning even redder as he looked away. My smile widened.

"Yeah, I liked it a lot."

After hearing that, he turned to me and then smiled back. "Im glad," He responded.

Man.... I would never hate that smile, it made me feel something. It also let me know Mui, was at peace with his life at that moment. I was glad. I had to protect him. I couldn't just tell him he was on a beat-up target list. I didn't want to stress him out. So, I'd have to do it while finding ways to hide the truth.

I wasn't going to make big lies. Just minor ones. Hopefully, so minor he wouldn't mind once it was safe and I told him the truth.

After a few more conversations, the bell rang and we finished the school day a few hours later. I never left Muichiro's side once. Though, he didn't seem to notice as we were just talking most of the time.

I convinced him to let me walk him to his apartment again, I was glad he didn't ask why. As we were walking, I looked behind us to Brian in the distance with his head down and hood over his up. I grabbed Mui's arm and began running, quickly making something up, "Let's run!" I said as he laughed and began running.

After a while, we stopped running and I looked behind us seeing it was empty, 'Phew... it worked...'

We entered the elevator and he clicked his floor level. I dropped him off at his door and headed home feeling like I had succeeded in something.
