Bruce grabbed his stuff and shoved it in his suitcase. The baseball tournament was 2 days away, the thought made him nervous.

He heard footsteps and looked down the hall to see his mother hustling Amy to gather her stuff.

Amy could carless about Bruce's game, she loved him but his sport...not so much. The only time she went to one of his games was for food. Someone told her the food was great, and, well, it was!

Mr. Yamada was hustling everyone, mostly Bruce. Each minute he'd walk in there rooms and tap his watch. Mrs. Yamada would nod, Bruce would smile, and Amy would roll her eyes.

Mrs. Yamada was packing for the car ride, she grabbed food, blankets, cloths, and all of the necessities. Amy thought most of the stuff she packed can't be counted as that though.

When they got in the car, Mrs.Yamada played games with Amy while Bruce and Mr.Yamada talked about baseball. As they approached their destination Amy felt happiness. She counted it a blessing to not be in a house that smelled of stuck ups (Mr. Yamada), and show offs (Bruce). That's when she realized she was still with them and her smile faded.

That night was painful. She had to share a bed with Bruce and woke up on floor. She was even surprised she fell asleep with her dad's snoring.

Bruce went to the open field and practiced. He hit a lot of home runs, if they would have counted, he would have won the game. He was playing Finney's team. Finney was already down their as well and watched Bruce hit a few.

"Alright star player, want me to pitch a few?" Finney said grabbing his glove. Bruce nodded, a pitch would be better than hitting of a tee. "I know it's stupid to ask, but WHEN ARE YOU GETTING A GIRLFRIEND! I mean come on! I bet you pull some ladies Finn." Bruce said smiling at Finn. Finney laughed and then decided he didn't know if even liked anyone.

"Don't you like...uh...Whorey?" He looked a Finn confused when He busted out laughing. "It's Donna, and I don't know anymore.."

Night rolled around and quickly rolled away. The whole family was struggling to get ready but eventually got to the game.

The game was rough, 2-2...and it was Bruce's turn to bat. Like always, he missed the first 2. He shaked, yesterday, Finney didn't give it all he had. Now that he was Bruce wasn't prepared. Then Finn let go of the ball, Bruce swung and heard the sound of the ball hitting the metal. He ran slowly, sort of a jogging pace. He hit a home run!

They had won! Bruce smiled and his team cheered. His dad told him how proud he was and his mother just stood there smiling happily like always. She was happy to say a word. Amy gave him a fist bump.

The next day they headed home. Bruce was happy, leading his team was amazing. It helped him feel like he.... belonged.
