Chapter 26: Different Person

It's been a few weeks since Alessia told me what happened that night

She's been a lot better recently, almost getting back to how she was before that night

The team decided to go out for a Christmas party as we had officially broke up for Christmas holiday

"Are you sure your okay?" I asked Alessia as we got ready at hers... well might as well be ours now

"Yeah, I've got you there tonight" she said, that guilt feeling coming back again like it had since she told me about that night

The police didn't do anything about it... which is so frustrating and proves how bad women are treated

Less came and hugged me, clearly seeing I was in thoughts

"What you think about" she said looking up at me

"That night" I sighed, her knowing what night I was talking about

"I promise I won't let anything like that happen to you again" I said looking down at her

"It's not your fault" less said, a thing she's been saying recently... but yet I still can't believe her

Why didn't I just go that night... yes I wasn't allowed but the doctors wouldn't have known

I sighed and moved away from her, putting my shoes on

I walked back over to less and pulled her into a kiss

"Tell me when it gets to much okay" i said softly

She nodded as we made our way out of the door

I drove us to the club

Once arriving I grabbed Alessia's hand and walked us in

"You okay?" I asked as we walked to the bar, she nodded with a smile

We pumped into Leah and vic when we got to the bar

They pulled us into hugs and said there hellos

"Where are the rest?" I asked

"Some are sitting at the table and then some are on the dance floor" Leah said leaning into me so I could hear her

Alessia and I got our drinks before pushing ourselves through the bodies of people and made it to our table

"Ello girls" I said gaining the girls sat at the tables attention

We sat down and spoke for a while, ordering more drinks

I decided after my second drink that I'd stop, wanting to keep an eye on less

"Let's dance" Alessia said leaning into me

I agreed and we made our way to the dance floor

I pulled her into me as she wrapped her hands around my waist, I swayed us from left to right, happy to be in each other's presence

We went back to the table after a while, Katie and Caitlin joining us this time

"Alright mccard" I teased

"Yeah I am" Katie replied trying to not react to it

"I'm good as well thanks" I carried on teasing

"Didn't ask" Katie teased

"How dare you...so rude" I said acting shocked

Katie laughed before asking me how I was seriously

"I'm good mate, thank you" I smiled
