(Hiroshi, 7)

Me and my mother were heading to the airport driveway where my cousin, Kimihito, was waiting for us. We had flown all the way from America to Japan, I had fallen asleep mid-flight since we left pretty early in the morning, and I had just woke up from my nap a few minutes ago, so I was still a bit groggy. My mother was going to be attending a business trip for the summer, and because my mother couldn't find a babysitter in America, and my mother was pretty disconnected from the rest of her family, she could only turn to one person to watch me over the summer, and that was Kimihito. From what I heard from my mother, he had a group of Demihumans living with him, I heard about Demihumans on the news and also the whole thing about the "Interspecies Exchange Program" where the Demihumans would live with another person, which I thought was really cool, and I always wanted to meet one of them. We walked over to the exit where I saw Kimihito standing near his car, and waving to us from it.

Kim: Over here guys!

We both walked over to him, as I began to pack my things into his car.

Mother: Thank you so much again Kimihito, for some reason I couldn't find a babysitter and you were the only one left for me to turn to.

Kim: Oh it's nothing really.

Mother: Did you get the schedule for him I sent you?

Kim: Yeah, I've got it all written down, I'll make sure to follow it as well as possible.

Mother: Alright, and are you sure he'll be safe around... "the girls"?

Kim: Oh of course, they won't be a problem for him, he'll be perfectly safe around them.

Mother: Alright, I should be going now. Hiroshi?

I turned to my mother who was looking down at me.

Mother: Be good for cousin Kim and his housemates okay?

Hiro: Okay Mom.

Mother: Alright, I better go now.

She began to walk off, before turning back to me and waving.

Mother: Bye Hiro! I'll be back in a few months!

Hiro: Okay!

Once she left, I got into Kimihito's car as he began to drive us both off towards his house. I spent most of the drive just staring out the window at all the scenery, being in another country felt so strange, and it also didn't help that all the signs and whatnot were in Japanese, which I didn't really know too well, even though my Mother knows the language very well. We eventually made it to his house as I grabbed my things and we both headed inside.

Kim: Alright, we're here, make yourself at home Hiro.

???: Darliiing! Is he here?!

I heard a voice come from upstairs, which sounded like a girl's voice.
