Justice for the repression

Context

A rebel group partakes in protests and riots for their rights. Eventually the government decides that their sick of The rebels malcompliance and forms a militia named "The Scarlets" after their scarlet uniforms  The Scarlets protect the citizens who disagree with The rebels mentality and chase any members of the rebel group into small communities outside of the city. Once all of the rebels are settled into their new lives, the Scarlets bomb their communities, taking out the majority of the rebels living there. The people who survive are forced further away from the city and into the woods. Of the thousands of rebels, only hundreds remain. One of these rebels, Theodore McAlistar, feels guilty for leaving his sickly brother behind to die and running to freedom from the bombings. He's devoted his life to avenging him and fighting for the rights of the rebels, to give himself a reason to feel that it was worth it somehow to abandon his family and friends and save himself.
