Before they could continue their banter the empress stood up from her throne with outstretched arms

" It as began, As tradition requires, Outworld's initial competiter will be Sun Do's first constable" the empress says as the fighter approaches

Y/N notices as the women called Li Mei from earlier and he makes a whistling sound

" Danm Raiden's first time looks rough" He notes with a smirk

Kang Lao looks at him with confusion " This is not his first fight"

" That sounded so wrong" he says still smiling

Kenshi scoffs " This is serious just one time put your childish behavior aside"

Y/N rolls his eyes as he watched the first constable approach the empress

" Your majesty, I will honor both the royal house and all of Outworld with my combat" she declares for the whole room to hear

The emprees walks down the steps and places a hand on her shoulder she says something that no one else can quite hear but it didn't seem the most friendliest of conversations

" What's that all about" Kung Lao wondered out load

Y/N shrugged " I may of lived over a thousand years but I still don't understand women"

Johnny nodded " I'm rich, handsome, successful and famous and my ex-still left me"

Y/N glanced with a side eye at Johnny he had a confused expression " I don't think that's the same thing"

The four watched as Raiden and Li Mei began their fight it wasn't hard to see Li Mei was a talented fighter and a smart one at that how she used her magic at certain moments showed she was a seasoned warrior it wasn't hard for someone like Y/N who's been on countless wars to tell the difference between the weak and strong

But Raiden had trained hard and it showed he used his new magical abilities to counter hers and his hand to hand combat was nothing to scoff at

But it almost seemed to Y/N as if she was fighting for more then just this tournament it wasn't long though until Raiden had defeated Li Mei

Y/N nodded and clapped softly for Raiden slightly impressed in how fast he learned to use his newfound abilities

" Thank you for the match first constable" Raiden said with a slight bow

Li Mei got to her feet her face covered in disappointment as she bowed in return she turned to leave but her eyes immediately meet a crimson pair

Y/N stared at her for a moment and gave a slight nod as he turned his attention back to the center she simply sighed not really caring about the gesture too much as she left

The empress gave a slight nod to Raiden as she spoke again " My compliments Raiden, on a well-fought match, we'll see how you fare in your next"
