"Lainaaaa, we're about to eat" knocked aunt Azon in my door.
I opened it and go down together with her. It was a peaceful dinner we laugh, chitchat, and asked what happened to our day.
"Laina, we have thought that since your 23 we would tied you up to a successful and high quality man" my grandfather randomly said.
I am drinking a water when he said that and I spill the water all over the food. In shocked. I missheard it right?
"W-what!!??? No way you can to that to me papa" I replied.
"You need to listen to us " he said.
"Papa you are dictating me again! Did my father allowed this kind of madness?" My tone slightly raised maybe.
"You heard it right " I heard my father's voice behind me.
" Why??? I can be successful! Don't look down on me! 1 year give me 1 year let me just finish this program and then let me have my life" I pleaded them.
"You're engagement is next week" grandfather added.
In angry I pountingly push my chair and go back upstairs.
I get back to sleep maybe tomorrow this isn't true.
******
I heard a car pull over, why my father got home so early. I reach my window and I notice a black Fortuner in the garage. A old man probably in his 70s get out the car. I saw my grandparents and father greeted him and escorted him inside our house.
Before I close the window a guy probably my age open the car door. He's probably the person I am going to marry, Hell no! I step out of the window. I run to my walking closet and rummage it for a bag I just get some shirts, wear my hoodie and grabbed my phone and wallet.
I tied my blanket and bed sheet to form a long rope and tied it in my bed, the only thing that is on my ming is that I need to get out of this place. I got down from the second floor of our house.
I am standing outside our gate, I gave our house a one last glance these ancestral house where I lived since I was a ten. There I grew with my loving grandfather and grandmother without parents, in that room, I look at my room it saw how I struggle and how happy I enter to the cracking door. I felt nothing but betrayal. I'm sad that this thing happened to us I loved my grandparents very much.
I felt that someone is looking at me by the window. He's looking at me I can feel his presence. I just shrugged it off and walk.
I didn't know where to go, I only had them I got to the park again. This time there were children playing, family on picnic under the tree. I smiled I never experienced that childhood. My teats began to fall. I cover my eyes I can't let children see me crying in the park where they're creating good memories. I sat down in the swing, I remember the last time I cried here and now I'm doing it again.
"Why are you crying" the sound of little girl, she sat infront of me and tries to look and me from below.
I didn't say a word cause she'll probably pity me. I bet she's wondering why such a young lady crying in the park. I wipe my tears away and look at her.
I think she's in between 5-7 her little hair is styled in piggy tails she smiled at me, she kinda reminds me of my youngerself when we still live in the mountains.
"You know, when I cry my grandmother always hug me " she said. "Me too " I said with a crack voice I miss those days.
"Elaaaaaaa" someone shouted. She looked back maybe it's her grandmother shouting. She ran to her.
What a cute name ela, someone also made that nickname to me I can't remember that young boy anymore it's been years, I just remembered how I worte my diary for him because I have a crush on him I laugh as I reminisce those days.
A shadow cover me I look up and I see the rooftop guy handing me his handkerchief.
I shake my head to refuse his help."You know my grandfather told me to never skip a blessing " he said and sit in the swing next to me. "How can handing me your handkerchief becomes blessing?" I ask.
"Can you just accept it, I can't think of any beliefs anymore " he said in frustration. I laughed at his reaction. This guy has a very intimidating presence but I can Sense his bright side.
"I sense your trying to run away" he said.
"I sense your minding others business" I replied.
I open my phone then one notification pop up. Solene Bautista added you on Facebook.
"Oh" I said and stood up. Why she suddenly comes back. My dorothea.
I instantly accepted her response and message her.
"Soleneeeeeeeee"I said.
Solene Bautista is calling o my gosh
"I need to take this call" I said and I look back to the guy sitting next to me, just for me to look at the empty swing, where did he go. I shrugged it off since we're not that closed and in fact I never knew his name.
"Solenee" I waved at her, I am in faced time with her.
"Hiiiiiii lainaaaa I miss you sooo much" she said in giggles
"How are you?" She asked.
I just smiled in response. This is our first time to talk and I don't want her to know that my life sucks right now.
"Btw where do you live?" She asked.
"Uhmmm..... In Araceli City Palawan" I replied.
"Really?? I'm actually here in Palawan. I'm on vacation and will get back to France tomorrow" she said in shocked and excitement.
My eyes grew bigger, she's heading to France I'm thinking of going with her and pursue myself in France.
"Are you free? I hope we can get some time to bring back our fond memories you know" I said casually.
"Sureeee, I'll go there tomorrow before my flight." She said.
