She remembered nothing, only her name and that she did not belong to this desolate and destroyed land.
She struggled to her feet and heard only a faint voice speaking to her.
"Find me...Miwa "
Let the story begin...
'Miwa' can only remember her own name. She is left with no option for now other than following the voice, as she is lost in this strange place that looks like the aftermath of a battle. This is the story of how the girl with no memories of her past sets out on an adventure to find out what happened to herself and the world.
The young girl began to walk, hesitating in her gait and looking curiously at her surroundings, the voice seemed to guide her towards the ruins that once formed a civilization.
Only the cries of the wind in her ears and the sound of the waves could be heard. The sky was painted with gray colors and dense clouds that seemed not to want to leave
"This way Miwa...find me!"
Miwa, followed the voice. Miwa's steps were uneasy and uncertain, but the voice became clearer every step she took towards the ruins. As she got closer, the sounds of the wind changed to the rustling of leaves falling from the trees. She finally reached the remains of a beautiful city that still seemed to retain some of the splendor from its heyday. The voice became louder, and Miwa was certain that she would finally find who had been calling her.
Miwa stared in amazement at the remnants of the city that once stood, curious and completely unaware of what happened in that world and why she ended up here....
"Miwa! This way! You've almost found me...this way!"
The voice that spoke to her sounded like that of a small child, it seemed to be playing and at the same time trying to guide her to who knows where.
Miwa just followed that voice that guided her to what seemed to be the remaining ruins of a huge castle...it wasn't completely destroyed, there were some parts of walls but it was still standing......
Miwa continued following the voice, which had now become clearer. It was now almost at the same level as her own voice, leading her to the castle ruins.
Miwa's eyes widened in surprise when she realized that the castle ruins were still standing. Her curiosity grew as the voice grew louder, beckoning her to follow.
Do you hear that, Miwa? The voice whispered. I am close.
Miwa's confidence and courage only grew more and more, she pushed open the great doors of that castle and was even more surprised that not only was it still standing...it was intact on the inside.
The chandeliers were lit and everything inside the place seemed to be deaf to everything that was left outside it.
Miwa began to walk at a hurried pace, curious about the mysterious voice that had been calling her ever since she woke up.
"At the top of the stairs...past the great pavilion and into the library...in the area of the king and queen...the book that remains locked...there I am! Find me Miwa find me!"
The voice continued to guide her, and her curiosity mounted with each step she took. This place was a mystery inside and out, and she couldn't shake the feeling that something incredible was waiting for her.
When she finally reached the library, she saw a book that was chained to the wall. The voice sounded relieved that she made it.
"Miwa, you are finally here! Open the book, and you find your true self...and me."
Miwa stared in amazement at the place .... exactly as if it had come out of a fairy tale or a history book.
On the wall bordering the book were tiled the figures that she supposed were of the King and Queen at that time, but their faces seemed to have been torn off by something or someone...
The girl looked at how to open the padlock and it was when the gleam of something she saw out of the corner of her eye caught her attention... it was the key to the padlock.
Miwa took it in her hands admiring the details and how it looked like a rose...it was time to find out whose voice it was....who was she herself....how did she get here...and...what happened in this place.
Miwa took the rose-like key in her hands and approached the book with a sense of purpose. As she opened the book, the pages began to turn rapidly. Miwa could feel her consciousness being pulled away as the pages of the book turned faster and faster.
Finally, when the pages stopped turning, everything became clear to Miwa. She could see her past and know who she was. She could see who called her with that beautiful voice. It was herself from another world. She then realized the truth that had been in front of her...
Miwa looked in amazement at everything that the book narrated...the memories...and emotions that she felt at some point came to her from all her past and present in front of her eyes.
,All this time it was us Miwa!...This desolate world once full of life is now only part of your consciousness...Reincarnated in another world but always destined to come back here and relive all that you lived...what we lived Miwa!"
The book narrated the story of the Miwa of that world...the voice that guided her since she woke up...it was her. It told how she was the daughter of a King and Queen of a prosperous kingdom, the next heir to the throne and loved by her parents and kingdom...how they went to war with an enemy kingdom and how both king and queen...her parents perished in the war and how she...even as a child...was sealed in that book by the very ones who took over the kingdom....
"Wasn't it exciting?!...but now...you have to go...you freed me and now...I am free! Thank you Miwa! Thank you so much!"
And with this the pages of the book began to turn quickly and began to light up around her and that's when she fainted again.... and when she woke up she was at home.... it had been a dream?
When Miwa woke up, she was in a bed with a warm blanked wrapped over her. She sat there, rubbing the sleep from her eyes, before turning to look around the room. It was her own bed in her own room, and she was back in her own home.
Everything about what she had just experienced was like a dream, and yet something inside her told her it couldn't be just a dream. She could still hear that voice...calling her name...like a lingering memory....
