Draco Malfoy sat on his soft little bed, with a sleepy metamorphmagus baby slowly dozing off on his lap, smiling about how great his life turned out. Before him was his stunning fiance, trying very persistently to get Teddy to say his name. "Will you quiet down, Harry? Teddy looks about ready for another nap and I'm not going to let you disturb it!" Draco chided softly. "Oh, right. Sorry!" Harry whispered. Draco shook his head, still smiling, and continued stroking the bundle of warmth in his arms. In a few minutes, the baby was fast asleep. He went to Teddy's crib and laid Teddy in gently. Draco's eyes were fixed on him, practically entranced by the delicate baby features. With soft, slightly pink skin, tiny little fingers, and smooth (currently brown) hair. At that moment, all Draco could think about was how much he wished that Teddy would stay the same way forever. Pure, delicate, and oh so little. But Draco knew Teddy would have to grow up one day. And he knew that Teddy would still be his beautiful little boy, no matter how old he gets. So Draco stood by the crib, again feeling so lucky to have gotten such a life. He was pulled out of his thoughts by the sound of Harry entering the room. His godson's gentle presence also encaptivated Harry as he stood admiring him on the other side of the crib. He looked up and saw his lover's beautiful blue eyes gazing into his own, and smiled. Draco smiled back and looked down again, trying to verbalize how happy he felt.

"Felix Felicis doesn't seem as special anymore to me" Draco said suddenly, still staring into the crib. "Why so?" Harry asked curiously. "Well, I mean, before, things were just going so badly, and at that time there were so many things I'd like to have in my life. There was so much I'd like to change. Back then a swig of Felix Felices would've meant having a proper day without people insulting me on the streets, getting a job without them scrutinizing me because of my dark mark, and it would've meant getting the courage to confess to you. But as time went on and life moved on, the novelty slowly started wearing off, as my life slowly got better. I mean just think of everything we have now! I have an amazing husband, an adorable little metamorphmagus baby, a job I love, a beautiful house, so many friends, and above all, I'm happy! I can't think of anything luckier than that '' He responded sincerely. "Huh! You're right, I guess Felix isn't as interesting anymore now that we have this wonderful life we built. Back then a bit of luck would have done wonders since we were constantly trying to figure out mysteries or carry out complicated missions. Now things are way simpler, aren't they?" Harry said with a slight chuckle at the end. "Yeah, now there's no more staying up past curfew working on Potter stinks badges" Draco giggled playfully. "No more tearing through the library to figure out exactly how to not be killed by Voldemort," Harry said. "Or laying awake all night trying to figure out how Draco Malfoy got his hair to be so perfect or what the smile he gave me after class meant" Harry teased. Draco blushed slightly and laughed. Harry took his hand, his damp palms were very familiar to Draco's slender fingers. The smile they shared said everything they couldn't verbalize.

That evening, it was still drizzling outside, so the trio couldn't go outside to the park like they had planned. Instead, they huddled together on the couch, Teddy playing with his toys on Harry's lap and Draco playing with Harry's hair as they watched a light film. As night set in, and the air grew colder, all three of them knew that they would always have each other for warmth. And that's the luckiest feeling in the world.
