" You remember my sister" Mileena says looking over her shoulder

" Of course, Princess Kitana" Liu Kang greets to which Kitana bobs her head in greeting

" May I introduce Johnny Cage, Kang Lao, Kenshi Takashi and Earthrealm's champion Raiden" Liu Kang he says with a gesture of his hand

He then sighs as he sees Y/N picking at the flowers " And last but not least Y/N L/N"

Mileena scowls at his actions but doesn't comment on it

" I hope your prepared, Raiden" Kitana says in an almost mocking way "Our champions our determined to win" she says looking over to Y/N with a scowl as he returned to the group with a flower

" None more so than me, It's been too long since we've known victory" Mileena says

" I personally can't relate to that" Y/N mutters as he examines the flower

Mileena's eyebrows furrow in anger but before she can say anything one of her guards approaches

" Princess Mileena we should be on our way, Emperees Sindel awaits" Her guard says

" Thank you, Tanya" Mileena says shaking her head and choosing to ignore Y/N

She then waves the group over " Follow me please"

They all began to follow even Y/N did without a fuss but he held onto the flower

They all climbed into chariots and passed through the streets were a celebration was being held with music, costumes and more

Kitana, Kenshi, Kang Lao, Cage and Y/N were all in the same chariot

Cage was still recording everything as he asked Kitana questions about Outworld but the reaper was still staring at the flower he had in his hand blocking out all the music and noise

" Whats happening there" Kang Lao asked besides Y/N snapping him out of his trans

He heard whistling along with more commotion as the chariots came to a stop

He shook his head to clear his mind and tossed the flower out the chariot as an attempt to chase away the ghost from his past

As he leered out of the chariot he saw people being taken away in chains and Mileena climbing out of one of the chariots to speak with who he presumed was in charge

" Who's that" He asked Kitana pointing at the women standing opposite of Mileena

" That's first constable Li Mei" She answered " She was once head of the Umgadi, the palace guard it was under her watch my father died" she says bitterly

It wasn't long till they arrived at the palace with no further incidents

They all lined up infront of Liu Kang as they awaited to be summoned by the emperess

" Worry expends energy for no purpose, Raiden" Liu Kang said

" But the tournament if I lose..." Raiden said concerned before being interrupted " Focus on your actions, not the outcome it is all you can control" Liu Kang advised

Y/N then patted him on the shoulder " Yeah I mean their just bigger and stronger then you and the four armed ones could definitely tear you in half but I mean that's no biggie" he said with what he thought was an encouraging smile

Most of them face palmed at his so called encouragement but before they could talk anymore they saw a bulking figure approaching he was clearly part of the military he had horns atop of his head that just added to his intimidation factor

" Red alert incoming stock villain " Johnny muttered

" General Shao, Do not let him goad you" Liu Kang warns them all but looks directly at Y/N

" I won't let him but my scythe is just so heavy it might slip" he says with a grin

The general approaches as he chuckles to himself

" Is it me, or is Earthrealm's champion scrawnier then usual" Shao asks mockingly

" Is it me, or is no one else impressed that Outworld dogs can speak" Y/N says with a smirk

The general gritted his teeth as he took a step closer to Y/N " And I see your kind is still mistaking stupidity for bravery"

Y/N grins clearly wanting something to happen but Liu Kang comes between the two much to both of their disappointment

" Your fight is with Raiden not Y/N and he will prove himself soon enough" Liu Kang says

" Have you still not told most Earthrealmers that Outworld exists" Shao questions

" It is safer that way general" Liu Kang says sternly

" I suppose so your people's frail minds couldn't handle the truth" Shao says

" Yeah his got a point I still can't wrap my mind around you being so danm ugly" Y/N says

Shao looks at him and growls clearly wanting to fight but before they could a gong was heard along with trumpets signaling everyone to go to the main hall

Shao looks to where the sound originated from and then back to Y/N

" You best pray we never find each other in combat" Shao says as he marches away

Y/N smirks " Yea that face would give me nightmares after all"

Kang lao smiles happy to have Y/N by their side since he didn't let the general berate Earthrealm

Kenshi and Raiden weren't surprised by his behavior but felt he should of left it to Liu Kang while Cage was impressed with the Reaper

Liu Kang though sighed " I need to get him a rubix cube or something"
