Chapter 3

"Okay! Miss Suarez please occupied the vacant chair" the professor said.

" Everyone you're course is psychiatry, so I would like to give you a disclaimer, psychiatry is not for weak. You should stay strong for your patients or you will be the patient" he added.

I is just the first subject but I felt drained, accepting all the information our professor is saying. I was putting my things in my bag, out first class just ended and we are about to go to our next class.

"Hi Laina right?"

I look at the pretty girl in front of me, here long hair is already reaching my desk, she is waving her hand like I can't see her, she was wearing a brown trousers match with a white croptop and a brown headband.

"H-hi" I stutter in reply, I was confused on her sudden appreance I didn't know some one would approach me that fast .

"My name is Rein, wanna go sit with me in lunch?" Rein asked.

"Laina wanna join me in lunch?" Fern said he was the guy I met during enrollment

"Sure! I'll go with you both" I replied.

I was with rein and fern the whole lunch time fern was humourous, and all we ever do is laugh. Rein is a very critique woman she always have her opinion in everything.

"Hey! Sometimes do you want to stroll in the engr. building?" She asked.

"What are we gonna do there?" I ask

"Hunt handsome future engineers" she said

"Brainyyyy rein! Nice idea ahhhh" fern said

I irked in their remarks

Rein never stopped telling about how handsome the guy she engineering building. We are walking back to the classroom for our last subject.

"He the guy I am telling you!" She excitedly told

"Where?? I can't see him" I ask trying to search for the guy she told me about.

"The one wearing blue faded jeans at plain white T-shirt" she added and pointing to the guys walking in the field.

I can't still see him " I can't see him, let's go" I hang my hand in hers and walk back to the classroom.

"The paradox of choice stipulates that while we might believe that being presented with multiple options actually makes it easier to choose one that we are happy with, and thus increases consumer satisfaction, having an abundance of options actually requires more effort to make a decision and can leave us feeling"

I saw how rein's head dropped she's microsleeping so I smile.

"Do you understand" said our professor while she rub her big round belly.

"Yes, sir" said the class in exhausted tone.

"You should understand it, it will be on your quiz next week, if you understood can you give me a scenario where we paradox of choice is evident" he added.

Myra one of my classmate raised her hand.

"Sir when you are choosing" she said and scratch her nape. I smiled in her response

"Of course we already know that Ms. Dominguez" our professor said "class you have to understand this! Those who can give me answer will be exempted in our quiz" our professor shouted.

I raised my hand

"Don't laina, we know you can perfect the quiz, give chance to other" said fern.

I stood up my classmates are joking me not to recite, as our class become chaotic I am attracted to the varsity walking the hallway, I instantly recognize the two Nero and Owen I know them because Nero is the one who escorted the guy whom I throw my heel on and I saw there name on their jersey they are together with the hit and run guy I remember his broad shoulders facing back me.

"Class! Listen" shout the professor. I just shrugged what I saw and faced our professor.

"When we asked our friends what restaurant they would like to eat" I said

"How is that connects to the topic?" He asked.

"So basically when we asked them about what they want they tend to not knowing the answer because they are given a lot of options and they're overthink the decision in order to get the satisfaction, and when they choose the wrong choice it leads to disappoinment. Contrary when we give them fewer option the choice would be easy to make" I confidently answered.

"Very good miss laina you are exempted to the quiz" smiled the professor

"Hoooooo good job Lina" said rein.

"Gimne some brain laina" Fern shouted.

"Class adjourned".
