Romanticism, it's one of the topics, which doesn't get much light shed on itself. And thus, I would like to share some of my own experiences regarding philosophy of romanticism. In my opinion, romanticism was a knee-jerk reaction to the industrial revolution; industrial revolution, which prioritized industrialization, urbanization, secularization, capitalism (somewhat consumerism)Romanticism emphasizes the individual, the subjective nature, very irrational being and imaginative world. It appreciates spontaneity, and exhausting cold logic and dawn of emotions. Senses over sense of rationality. I would like to explain it in a way:To be one with nature, to come unto a realization that the supreme place of a human is amongst nature; and human structure in a way is perverse of act against the holy nature. As if the Being is us and the nature. Notice a thorough, distinction made between the nature and the humankind as well as manmade structure. An extended version is best exemplified by a play of William Shakespeare called Romeo and Juliet. And **spoiler alert, where the two teenagers love each other and are literally ready to do everything, even die.I'll give you some examples of this category of philosophy, which actually penetrates our life. I would like to say the very emblem of romanticism we all have heard is the play "Romeo and Juliet". In movies, the famous Titanic film where Jack and Rose, without worrying anything about Class, Age, past, lineage (all of which is thrown into garbage) because Well Love was more important. Such foolish illusions of love and romanticizing quirks have given birth to a penultimate liberal, which can romanticize anything, even the most heinous acts, perhaps by finding aesthetic in it on Pinterest Board or by making a Spotify playlist.Famous instrument pieces and music was created as a byproduct of this philosophy like Ludwig van Beethoven and Franz Schubert (Please listen to Die Forelle). Every aforementioned example has been inspired by some faction of romanticism wherein even today, when we romanticize "peace" or we romanticize life even when we feel terrible, we take pleasure in romanticizing potential partner by calling them our crush. But aren't we all romanticizing exotic food, travel, lifestyle, partner and much more?...My stark differences in opinion arises from potential avoidance or difference artificially conjured of human nature by the humans. As if to evade a man-made structure or to shun any potentially human advancement in technology will lead them to a happy or a better life. The common discrimination we see here is one who recognizes that what is the nature and what is man made, my comment being that we are one with nature. We are not a separate entity from the nature. Anything with cold hearted calculation or fractal art can be as beautiful as English countryside. To be honest, both of them, raw nature as well as cold logic, is capable of being transcendental. Another critical point, which comes into my mind is of romanticizing love in a way and which could foster unwanted romantic relationships. There are many things which cannot be penned down with the current deadline of this article, but If I am to end this entire article with a bittersweet quote from Alfred de Musset, a French playwright and a much larger person than my words can cover. He says that romanticism is the abuse of all the adjectives, and I think there could never be more bittersweet end to this, thank you everyone.
