They say half of the Targaryens went mad, didn't they? What's the saying? Every time a Targaryen is born, the Gods flip a coin-

"-and the realm holds its breath." The sentence was cold, made to send shivers into the skin of everyone who ever heard of the mighty house Targaryen, or to the three siblings who listened to Lord Oryon Martell.

The kids were pale with silver locks and purple eyes, dressed in black and red to represent their house. There were two boys and a girl. One of the boys couldn't stay still as he claimed the stories told by Lord Oryon were a lost of time and breath while the other boy tried to explain to his brother that is very important to study the sayings of their house. However, the little girl with braids was fascinated by the story, clearly wanting to learn more and more. They stood in Dragonstone, under the watch of Lord Oryon Martell and his loving wife. Viserys, the older brother, grew to be wise and strong, leaving the violence and stubbornness to his brother Daemon, who was quite the devil. Dyaena was elegant and smiling, just as a princess must be.... behaved.

Years passed, and Viserys found a beautiful wife, Aemma of House Arryn. Their wedding was under the watch of the old king, Jaeherys Targaryen. They had a beautiful daughter called Rhaenyra, and also many miscarriages. Dyaena was next. She wed the cousin of Princess Rhaenys, Lord Aethan Velaryon, by the order of the new king, Viserys. It was rumoured that Dyaena and Aethan had twins, but it was never confirmed since their father died in a tragic accident. The last one was Daemon, who ended up in a marriage he claimed he would rather marry a sheep.

A tall woman walked into the halls of the palace, waiting for the council to end. Her hair was full of braids, covered by a dark piece of cloth that matched her black dress. Yet, she was not alone since her sworn knight was in her company. The woman was unsettled as she waited in front of a big door guarded by four knights. Suddenly, a blonde man walked out of it and stopped in front of the woman.

"Still mourning, sister? It's such a shame... I haven't seen you for so long, and when I do, you are sad. Did he treat you well? That's why he killed himself in front of you?" The man spat his words at the woman, whose tears were covered by the cloth.

"At least he was a better husband than you will ever be, Daemon." Her whisper was loud enough to make her brother mad

"Mind your tongue, Dyaena." With these words, he left the hall, leaving Dyaena alone. After a few moments, the woman stepped into the room, hoping she made the right decision.  As she stepped closer to the big table surrounded by lords, she bowed at her brother.

"My King." she waited silently for Viserys to answer her. The men at the table found her appearing very disrespectful towards the wishes of the king about the meeting being not interrupted. Her brother was not happy about her sudden appearance in the council, but he remained calm and walked to his sister, accompanied by his hand, Otto Hightower.

"Princess... I hope that this disturbing of the meeting can be explained. Bothering the king in such an important meeting must require very important information. So tell me, princess, is there someone dying?" The hand asked sarcastically, made to make the princess feel inferior in front of him

"Otto. I don't think my sister needs to be questioned in this manner. " Viserys took the hand of his sister and walked out of the room so they could be alone

"Tell me that you did not make that choice. Tell me you will let me mourn Aethan until I will be ready... Tell me you will not make that mistake."  Dyaena was desperate. She wanted nothing but to mourn her dead lord husband.

"Aethan.... was a good man. But my choice is not something you and Daemon can change, no matter what you both try to tell me. Now you must go to your chamber.... see what my daughter is doing, help Aemma recover, and find something to do." He tried to stay as calm as possible, not letting his sister sadden herself more. He escaped the grip she had on his hand and walked back into the room.
