his perspective.

Droplets of water fell from my freshly washed hair onto my notebook and desk. I knew I should've showered earlier so it would have a chance to dry. The ink of my pen was dispersing in the small puddles on my paper.

Monday morning, 8:53, period 1, english. Ms Muffins rambled on about why Macbeth was the best book she had ever read, I silently disagreed. A knock sounded against the closed classroom door.

Ms Muffins rolled her eyes at the interruption to her passionate speech and strutted to the door. She yanked the handle down and swung the door open with excessive force.

She didn't even look at who was behind the knocks before screeching out, "Why are you late?! I've reminded this class dozens of times that-", she cut her rant of half way when she saw the unfamiliar figure in front of her.

"I'm sorry, I don't know my way around yet", a timid, feminine voice replied. Behind the soft-spoken words was a girl I had never seen before. She was about 5'8 with a slim build hidden by the arms she wrapped around herself. Her hair was a natural, fair blonde, patterned with messy curls. Those curls were clipped and pinned up to the back of her skull, leaving only a few disobedient strands to frame her face. Her eyes were a striking blue, I suspected there to be hints of green speckled in her irises. She had a pale complexion, contrasted with pink, full lips.

"Oh, excuse my rudeness darling you can take a seat", Ms Muffins replied, frustrated at her prior actions. The girl scanned the room, eyeing the only seat that remained vacant. Every other student was here, I'm not sure who Ms Muffins planned to accuse of intentionally missing her class or something like that. The girl glanced from the seat to me, as the vacant spot sat against the right wall of the classroom, was directly next to mine. She glared at me, furrowing her brows in anger. She had seemed so shy and timid as she spoke seconds earlier, why did her face convey the opposite now?

She took a step inside the room. "Oh my I forgot! What's your name sweetie? Introduce yourself", Ms muffins exclaimed.

"Lux",  she stated harshly. She continued over to the seat next to me, dropping her books roughly on the desk.

I glanced over at her, she was completely focused on Ms Muffins teaching, if you can even call it that. I noticed the five silver piercings in her exposed ear. Three through her lobe, and two in the cartilage above. I liked them. They suited her. She was one of those ridiculously attractive people that you see and wonder how they exist.

Ms Muffins had set us a partner task of course. I wished she could've noticed that the quiet girl next to me clearly had an aversion to socialising with me. I turned to her.

"Hey, I think we have to be partners because the groups are usually based off where you sit", I said to the girl, Lux. She looked up and me through her thick eyelashes as her head was still down, focusing on some crap Ms Muffins wanted us to read. She unexpectedly made direct eye contact with me, making my nerves spiral. She simply nodded her head at me and bobbed it back down to read again.

I could feel my heart racing in my chest, she made me anxious. She didn't seem to like me much, or anyone in that fact. She was intriguing, captivating.
