Penelope is, not surprisingly, a perfectionist. The pressure to act like exactly like what her parents want her to be results in her having a lot of anxiety. Penelope freaks out when things are not in her control and being average is not something she will accept. Something that not a lot of people realize about Penelope is that she works hard to get where she is. And what she wants. She is the definition of a hard worker. Penelope has to be the best, and from the outside looking in, it seems like academics comes easily to her, which couldn't be further from the truth. Like mentioned before, Penelope is a very critical person. Mainly of herself. She holds herself to a high standard and doesn't like when she doesn't meet her own standards. Socially, Penelope is extroverted. Just because she is a rule follower doesn't mean she doesn't like having fun. The girl looks to talk, and could probably talk your head off. Penelope has a bubbly energy to her. When she is talking to Headmaster Grimm and other authority figures like him, she is calm, well-mannered, and soft spoken. Only speaking when she is supposed to. With her peers, she just lights up. She has a bright and cheery attitude. Her positive personality just makes you want to smile with her, it is that infectious. Penelope is quite charming as well. She has a warm vibe to her that make others feel welcomed.

Almost to a fault, Penelope is a caring and empathic individual. She will be there to comfort you if you're sad, with a pot of tea and cookies ready for you. The girl tries to give people the best advice for any of the problems her friends or anyone else might have. She really is trying. Penelope is loyal, and will help her friends and loved ones, no questions asked. She cares very deeply for her friends and she just wants them to be happy.

Penelope's family story goes like this — the prince is searching for a wife, specifically a princess. He looked all over and none of the princesses met his expectations. They weren't "true" princesses. After searching, the prince came back home, sad that he couldn't find a wife. But one day, there was a terrible storm and a women covered in rain and looking very messy shows up at their doorstep, asking for shelter and claiming she is a real princess. The queen didn't believe the woman and made her sleep on twenty mattresses then laid a pea under them, and then put twenty eider-down beds on top of the mattresses. The next day the prince and the queen asked the woman how she slept, and she said quite poorly and said that she must have been sleeping on something hard. The prince and the queen knew that she was a real princess because only a true princess could be so sensitive to that. The prince and princess marry and the pea is put into a museum. Since her family's stories are so set on finding "true" princesses, Penelope comes from a family that has a lot of expectations. Since she was a child, she was taught the top three things that a princess needs to be. Graceful, Dutiful, and Sophisticated. A girl of her status needs to act a certain way. Especially since her fairytale isn't apart of the "Big Three" fairytales. Penelope had everything she could want, and was quite spoiled, but she didn't let that affect her. She grew up being close to many of the other students who are also royalty.
