"So... what do you think about Lando, Dad?" Saena asks, as Lando and Saena's mother walk in front of the two of them, talking to one another.

"I think he's nice. He seems to make you very happy, so I like him for that," he replies, a smile on his lips. "It's just a bit hard to communicate with him, but I'll brush up on my English skills. I just worry about the long distance thing."

Saena frowns. "The long distance thing?"

"Well... he is kind of flying all the time, isn't he? Because all the races are in different countries — I just worry that it will be difficult for you two to see each other, because you need to stay in Canada for training." he replies.

"I know. But we've been making it work."

"That's what you said about Hangyeol." he reminds his daughter, and Saena sighs.

"But it wasn't a matter of long distance, Dad — he cheated on me."

"The long distance was already making it difficult for you two, Saena. I like him, I'm just... looking out for you," Saena's dad shrugs, and Saena looks at him with furrowed brows.

"I hope you're not saying this because you liked Hangyeol more." Saena says, and her father shakes his head.

"Because he cheated on you and hurt you, I don't like him. But I did see you and him together in the long-run." Saena thinks that her father is the only one with that opinion.

"But honestly, Saena. You two need to be realistic — how often are you really going to see him every year?"

"I know it's difficult, and I might not see him for long periods at a time, Dad. But... I want to make this work. I love him a lot." she says, and Saena's dad nods. "Okay then. Make it work. I just don't want you to get hurt again."

Saena looks at her father with her lips pressed into a thin line. "Yeah. I know."

"Sae! Look at this — it's like a candied strawberry." Lando's voice catches Saena's attention, and Saena watched as his eyes light up like a little kid in a candy store. Saena gives her dad one last disappointed look before walking ahead of him, catching up with Lando and linking her arms with his. "Do you want one to try? It's really good," she says, and Lando nods.

"Sounds good." he says, pressing a kiss to Saena's temple. The smile on his daughter's lips is hard to miss, Saena's father thinks.

Saena's mother smiles. "They're perfect for one another, aren't they?" she asks her husband.

Saena's father looks at her daughter and her boyfriend walking happily along the street, and he nods. "Yeah."
