"Agent Jones, come here." I heard from across the room. It was Mr.Stark. I work as an intern for S.H.I.E.L.D., Stark Industries' security department, so I was at the security desk when he called me over. Of course I walk over to him, seeing as he is my boss.
"Yes Mr.Stark?" I ask, curious to know what he wanted.
"I need you to come with me." He stated as he turned to walk away, gesturing for me to follow him.
"Yes sir." I respond. What did he need me for? Did he finally figure it out? No, he couldn't. I've never slipped up about it. There is no way he could have found out.
The ding of the elevator pulled me out of my mental spiral. I looked forward at it and followed Mr.Stark inside.
"So do you know where I am bringing you?" He asked.
"Well, not particularly. I do know that we are going down the prison floor, though." I stated. I had no idea why I was being taken down there. There has never been a reason for me to deal with or interact with prisoners.
"You are correct, we are going to the prison floor." Mr.Stark replied as he stepped out of the elevator and into the the hallway. I quickly followed him, still confused. "We have recently arrested a new prisoner, he is very difficult and I know that you have an ability to get people to answer your questions." He stated.
So that's what this is about, Mr.Stark needed me to crack this new prisoner, get him to talk. "Ah I see." I said, understanding what he wanted me to do.
Mr.Stark walked me through the halls, all the way to a cell with glass walls. I almost froze when I saw who the person inside was.
"Is that the prisoner?" I asked, trying to stay as calm as possible.
"Yes, we've created a list of questions for you to ask him. They are the main priority, but do what you must to get him to talk. He's all yours." Mr.Stark said before walking away.
"Wait! Couldn't he be dangerous?" I asked, acting like I was scared. I knew he wouldn't hurt me though.
"I trust you not to get hurt." Was the only answer I get.
I turn to look at the prisoner. All I did for a moment was stare at him in shock.
"Are you going to say something?" He asked.
"Um, yeah." I paused, "What the actual hell?!" I almost shouted.
He looked at me, then the ground. How the hell did my brother get caught by the avengers.
"What did you do to get caught? According to Tony, you stole the tesseract. How'd you even get the tesseract? I thought it was destroyed with Asgard. Actually, don't answer that." I asked. There's all kinds of things he could have done to get it, and I don't wanna know. My main concern is how my brother let himself get caught. He was always so careful in his actions.
"I could ask you the same thing. How'd you end up here, Y/N?" He asked me.
"I'm not answering that. I have a list of questions, then I'll leave." I told him.
"Aw, won't we get time to catch up?" He asked.
"Sadly, I don't believe we will have time. But, I would appreciate if you stopped your illusion, you know I can tell when you're using them." I stated.
"Of course. I forgot about that." He replied as a golden line ran through the room, revealing the broken table and chairs with Loki sitting against the wall, his hair messy.
"Oh dear, what happened to you?" I asked, honestly concerned for him. I wasn't given a response.
