The way the neurons in Medic's brain exploded made her almost squeal. The Swodmaster thinks she's the smartest tower here! That was incredible! She wasn't going to pass up a opportunity like this.
"That is so very kind of you! I'm sure we can find something on my computer, follow me!" Medic had Swordmaster follow her through the medical ward. The medics never stopped to stare and oogle at Swordmaster, all of them too busy with their own jobs to care about the grand visitor.
Even Valentines Medic, or known as Val, wasn't paying any mind to it. She was taking supply count with Cyber Medic, who would lift up the heavy boxes onto the table and open it for Val to take count of what was inside.
Swordmaster hummed at the work ethic, "You are quite the busy bunch of ladies today, are you?" Medic couldn't help but flush, "Us girls are what keeps this camp alive! Literally, I'm not joking." The bit of humor made the titan chuckle, "I wouldn't doubt it."
"I assume you are in charge here based on how the rabbit doctor called you?" Swordmaster inquired. "Yep, that's me. However, this camp likes to see me as a second Commander most of the time. I always have towers coming up to me like I'm their mom, asking me the most dumbest of questions!"
"I understand you for I too have my fellow titans come up to me and ask many stupid queries," Swordmaster mused. Medic couldn't help but snort, "Yeah? Tell me one that they asked."
Swordmaster thought for a moment before thinking of one, "I was once asked if I had choose between being really dumb or be made of butter, which one would I pick." Medic snorted, "Who asked that one?"
At first, Swordmaster was silent. Medic assumed he was trying to think about who said it, so she didn't bug him. She stopped when she noticed the titan slowing down. Something seemednto be in his mind.
"Gravedigger asked it..." Swordmaster murmured out. "I told him he was both of those things... the way he got so mad still makes me smile..." his voice was low, almost as if he unlocked a bittersweet memory. Medic felt terrible, did she make the titan feel bad?
Swordmaster quickly shook out of it. "I apologise, a lot has been happening. Now, how about we talk about those eclipse towers that Commander has told us about." Medic nodded and decided not to push her luck by bugging Swordmaster about what just happened.
"They are called dreamwalkers, very ancient people that could communicate with people in their dreams. However, these people were... less than good," Medic cringed. "They have a long history of manipulating people while in their dreams, causing mass destruction. That's why around twenty years ago, the remaining villages were burned to the ground... the dreamwalker towers with it."
Swordmaster winced, who knew towers were so cruel to the point they would burn a group of people alive. "However, it seems a group of them have survived and it seems they aren't wanting to use their gifts for evil," Medic theorized. Swordmaster grunted, "They may not be using it for evil, but it seems that the Umbra is planning on that."
Medic nodded to it. This all did seem very strange, what would this titan want from them? It could be anything, but one thing was for certain. Whatever it was, it wasn't for good. Perhaps they could learn more about it through research.
Medic opened up her office door and cringed, the place was a bit of a mess. Swordmaster didn't comment on it as he crouched down to enter. Instead, he stared around at the posters and degrees hanging up.
Going to her laptop, Medic booted it up and opened up a fresh tab to search up articles about the dreamwalkers. Medic had to be careful, there was a lot of fictional articles, not to mention click bait. However, everything she did find was just fiction! The species of dreamwalkers has been buried and turned to nothing but storytales.
She couldn't even find the original article about them being burned to death either, the article seemingly deleted from the web. It's like someone didn't want anyone to find out about them.
All the had right now was the basic knowledge Medic had and the other source was doped up on medicine. They wouldn't be getting anything for quite a while.
"It is okay, we will wait for the tower to feel better, we still have time left," Swordmaster consoled her. Medic sighed, "Two days isn't a lot of time..."
Then, from it's charging port on the desk, her walkie-talkie crackled and Commander spoke through it. "Medic? You there? Over." Medic groaned and picked it up, "Here, over."
"Is Swordmaster with you?" Commander asked. Medic raised an eyebrow, but answered back, "Yeah, he's standing right next to me. Why?" That's when a different voice came onto the line.
"Swordmaster," Void Reaver spoke through it. Swordmaster was confused, why was Void Reaver using Commander's communication device? Medic handed over her device and let him use it to talk to the other titan on the line, "Void Reaver?"
Void Reaver's voice came through, "He is gone." Swordmaster scratched his head and asked back, "Who's gone?" Did one of the other titans get out? Oh Creator, he began to hope nothing bad happened to any of them.
"No. The new gravekeeper. He's gone. He emerged earlier than what we expected," Void Reaver's voice was filled with worry and stress. Medic stared at the radio wide eyed, then quickly looked up at Swordmaster who looked like he was about to explode.
"He WHAT!?"
