Miss you

Erika enter her apartment, slowly she took off her shoes and place it properly on the floor, making sure it's look tidy. She then place the bento, her dinner on the table, she just bought it from the convenience store on her way home.

Erika make her way into the living room and then bounce herself on the black sofa.

"I'm home....mom" she said as she look at the photo frame on top of the cabinet 8 foot away . A slight sighing can be heard comes out from her. She gaze into the fiery sky, it's a beautiful sight but for some reason, her expression show it differently. She close her eyes and take a gentle deep breath.

Bib.....bib.....bib.....bib
A sounds of a heart monitor slowly taking over her ears.

"Erika...honey, wake up" a soothing voice waking her up from her nap.

Erika get her heads up, and look to the person. Her face turn bright, she smiles from ear to ear. "Mom" the first words that come out from her mouth.

"It's already late, you should go home now" Erika's mom, Anna gently fondle Erika's hair.

"No...I want to stay with you, can I just stay for tonight?" Erika took her mom's hand and place it on her cheeks, instead of a warmness, it's ice cold.

"I'm sorry, honey..." Anna face looks weak as she said it.

"..." Erika already know the answer before she ask the questions, she just trying her luck.  She then look out the window. " Then...just let me watch the sunset with you..." She ask  with a sad tone. Her mom gave a weak smile then a nodded.

Her mom stared out of the window, gazing into soothing and calming skies. And Erika, for the entire time she stares at her mother, gazing her as long as she can.

In less ten 5 minutes, the sun completely gone. Erika get up from the chair, and goes to the door, saying goodbye to her mother. She open the door step out from the wards and close back the door. The moment she close it,

Bib...bib...bbbiiiibbbbbbb....
the heart monitor that has been bibbing all this time suddenly making a flatline noise.

Erika open her eyes. It's already dark outside. She gets up and close the curtain.

*Drip*
Tear suddenly dripping down from Erika's eyes.

"... I miss you, mom" she wipes the tears away, but it keep dripping even more. She slowly drop her body on the floor. A struck of lonely ness feeling suddenly hits her deep inside. Instead of holding the tears, she start to wailing in pain. Wishing her mom to be by her side.
