The sun shined brightly over the small town, it's golden rays illuminating the sidewalk as I walked down it to get to school. Today, I surprisingly was on time, which meant I didn't need to serve a detention.

As I skipped to school like a little girl on her way to the candy store, I listened to my favorite song, "Two Trucks" by Lemon Demon. Most people think I'm being satire when I say this, but I actually absolutely love the song. The lyrical genius of Lemon Demon paired with a funky beat made it perfect for every activity a living being could perform, such as circulating blood or maintaining homeostasis. The song blasted through my headphones, as I hummed the tune to myself.

As I was about to say the last non-friendship word, I noticed an awesome car parked on the side of the street. It was a beautiful large truck, the front drivers area colored a bright beautiful bold red and the back carrier was a glowing, bright, luminescent white. The wheels were squeaky clean, the black absorbing all light around it. The perfect exhaust pipes on the side shined a wonderful silver, and looking at it felt like a dream.

I felt my heart begin beating faster and I felt butterflies in my stomach. I could feel my face becoming red and hot as I continued to stare at the marvelous vehicle.

Was this... love? Was I in love? With a truck?

My Lemon Demon playlist began playing a new song, but I still couldn't take my eyes off the truck in front of me. I've heard of people being in love with dolls, with microwaves, but never have I actually heard of a real person, not Lemon Demon, being in love with a truck.

My awe was instantly cut out as I checked my phone to see a horrible "7:20" displayed brightly on the home-screen. I realized I was going to be late for school, so I quickly dashed on the pavement, running as the warm sun shined warmly on my shoulders and hair, while I left the truck in the past, right behind me.
