Chapter 10 ⚠

As Taehyun turned to look at the older man, he was startled to see Beomgyu was already staring at him.

“Thank you.” Beomgyu mouthed slowly to him and the happiness that rushed into Taehyun’s blood was something he could never explain.

Beomgyu ended up spending the rest of the day on Taehyun’s bed, just planning the ski trip outing together.

“I seriously don’t know how to ski though…” Beomgyu trailed off awkwardly.

“I can teach you.” Taehyun laughed.

“I don’t trust you.” Beomgyu teased him, “You will probably let me go on purpose to see me fall on my ass.”

“I will never let you go, Beomgyu.”

There was something about the way Taehyun said those words that made Beomgyu look up at the man. It sounded too genuine, all of this seemed too real for Beomgyu and it was starting to make him feel overwhelmed.

It was most definitely weird, Beomgyu just lying on Taehyun’s bed, still undressed, sweaty and sticky but somehow feeling comfortable in the other man’s presence. He had texted Sunoo who replied back instantly with a gif that said he was ready to party as well as Yeonjun, asking him if Heeseung and Jungwon were available while Taehyun texted Kai.

Kai: Is Soobin coming? Not that I care or anything.

Taehyun: He owns the ski resort.

Kai: That’s sexy. I am in.

“I could bring my camera and we could take pictures.” Taehyun suggested.

“I wish I could take pictures as pretty as you.” Beomgyu sighed wistfully before continuing, “I know nothing about angles or lighting.”

“It isn’t that hard once you catch the gist of it.” Taehyun laughed softly, “I could teach you that too.”

“Wow… Taehyun, what other things could you teach me?” Beomgyu asked teasingly.

Beomgyu was smiling at Taehyun, anticipating his answer before his phone started buzzing.

It was Yeonjun calling.

He looked over at Taehyun who was also staring at his phone, the smile on his face fading away.

"Is it okay if I pick up this call?" Beomgyu asked uncertainly.

It was awkward, Beomgyu being naked on his bed while he asked whether it was okay to answer a call from his ex. Beomgyu who still thought all of this was an act when it was different for Taehyun. There was nothing Taehyun could do anyways, so he shrugged nonchalantly, gesturing at him to go ahead.

Beomgyu sighed softly before picking up.

“Hyung?”

“Hey Gyu!”

It had been a while since he heard the older's voice, and it was hard not to control the slight shiver that went down his spine and he was hoping that Taehyun didn’t notice it.

“Hey…” Beomgyu coughed out, “So are you free for the ski trip?”

Beomgyu could hear Yeonjun humming softly as he thought about it.

“Is everyone coming?”

Somehow, Beomgyu knew by ‘everyone’ Yeonjun was probably asking if Taehyun was going to be there.

“Yes… Taehyun, Sunoo, Kai and Soobin have already confirmed.”

"I don't know if I should come though..." Yeonjun muttered, his voice unsure over the receiver.

Beomgyu knew he shouldn't care if the blonde was coming or not. "Please come hyung. It will be loads of fun." Beomgyu pleaded despite himself.

“Okay then…” Yeonjun answered, “I will ask Hee and Jungwon, but it is a mostly a yes from us.”

“Cool…I will see you then?” Beomgyu asked, cringing at how hopeful he sounded.

“Yes…sure.” Yeonjun laughed before they hang up.

Beomgyu remained seated on the bed silently and he could feel the photographer’s eyes on him, scrutinizing him probably.

“Is he coming?” Taehyun asked.

His voice was cold, devoid of the warmth it held earlier.

“Yeah…” Beomgyu answered.

“I am guessing you are happy.” Taehyun continued dryly.

Beomgyu looked up at him, not knowing what to say.

“You should get washed.” Taehyun said after a while.

It was scary how the air seemed different now than it was before Yeonjun’s call.

Beomgyu sighed as he got off the bed, reaching out for his clothes that were scattered all over.

“You could get washed here.” Taehyun suggested.

“No, it is fine.” Beomgyu replied as he got dressed and made his way towards the door.

He heard Taehyun getting up behind him as well and following him after he pulled on his boxers.

As Beomgyu reached the door, he turned around suddenly, yelping as he collided with Taehyun.

The younger man raised his arms quickly, steading Beomgyu, before letting him go.

The silence that was surrounding them was suffocating, filled with so many unanswered questions.

Beomgyu wanted to ask if Taehyun seemed upset after his phone call with Yeonjun or was he just imagining things. But he knew it was ridiculous, there was no way Taehyun would be upset. All of this was fake even though it was starting to seem a bit too real.

Taehyun wished he could just reach over and grab Beomgyu, shaking him and asking him just what was going on in his mind. He could tell Beomgyu was overthinking again and was probably so confused and he wanted to help him but didn’t know how to.

So, he just stepped back, opening the door for Beomgyu, who smiled at him gratefully before making his way to his flat.

This was getting repetitive now. They end up doing something that was definitely breaking the rules of a 'fake relationship' and it somehow leads to Taehyun getting hurt even though it was unintentional. He knew it was time that he probably spoke to Beomgyu. It was time he stopped worrying about hurting the other man and get answers to what their relationship was right now and whether they should stop doing this fake act before it becomes worse. Lately Beomgyu had been behaving differently with him, it seemed too real to be an act anymore. He was the one who initiated the kiss and the sex this time. The way Beomgyu would get jealous and would try to hide it, the way it seemed like Beomgyu cared genuinely for him. However, as soon as Yeonjun was in the picture, it goes back to how it was in the beginning and it was infuriating.

Taehyun sighed as he leaned against the door, things were getting out of control and his feelings for Beomgyu have reached a place of no return.

next chapter will be the ski trip and things are going to get...not good I guess HAHAHA let's see!
