Chapter 9 ⚠

“Of course, she did…” Beomgyu mumbled under his breath and Taehyun pulled his lips into a tight line.

“Someone did us a favour, and I want to repay it back. That’s all.” He said coldly and saw the older man flinch slightly.

Silence surrounded them again before Beomgyu spoke up, his voice extremely soft that Taehyun had to strain his ears to hear him.

“Sorry, I am being stupid.”

“No…I think you are just feeling jealous.” Taehyun teased him as the man looked away.

“No, I am not.”

Taehyun let the topic drop, his mind starting to wander again as he thought about what Beomgyu and he just did. They probably broke a million rules when it came to fake relationships and wondered where they were going to go from here. He knew he told Beomgyu to not worry about it, but he couldn’t stop himself from worrying. Was this just a one-time thing? Was this something Beomgyu needed as badly as him?

And what about his own emotions that have spiralled out of control. He thought sex with Beomgyu would put an end to whatever tension was surrounding them or whatever confusion Taehyun had. All this time, Taehyun hoped that the feelings he had for Beomgyu were sprouted from him not having sex for a long time, but he was not so sure anymore.

It made him want to rip his hair out as he realised just how painfully oblivious Beomgyu could be too. Taehyun knew that he could no longer stay away from Beomgyu, he was in too deep now to back away and even if the only times he could spend with Beomgyu are to pretend in front of others, he would take that over nothing.

He cleared his throat before speaking, “So…yeah we can have that group outing…just let me know when.”

Beomgyu turned to look at him, his eyes wide, before softening, “Thank you.”

“They are fun people anyways.” Taehyun shrugged.

“You have to call Kai along too, it was a request.” Beomgyu stated causally.

“Did Soobin ask for him?” Taehyun chuckled, as he shook his head in disbelief at the irony that his best friend’s love story was going smoother than his own.

“Yeah…I think they like each other.” Beomgyu guffawed.

“Kai definitely likes your friend. I haven’t seen him gush over anyone.” Taehyun said as he laughed along with the older man.

“That’s cute, they both would make a great couple I guess.” Beomgyu acknowledged, “Soobin is the bestest boyfriend anyone could get.”

“I would say the same about Kai, but I hate complimenting him, so I am going to shut up.” Taehyun chortled and Beomgyu had to laugh along because Taehyun’s laugh was just so contagious and made him feel…so light.

"Maybe we could have a ski trip or something." Taehyun suggested.

"I have no idea how to ski..." Beomgyu admitted, glancing over at Taehyun sheepishly.

"It is fun and I can teach you." Taehyun offered.

"Okay...I will ask the others and let you know then." The older stated.

They finally reached their apartment, and they became quiet as Taehyun parked the car.

“So…uhm.” Taehyun began, not knowing where to start, “that was a hell of a weekend…”

Beomgyu giggled as he nodded, “It really was…but it was therapeutic in a way for me.” He placed a hand over Taehyun’s before smiling at him, “I guess I really needed this weekend.”
