"Funny, Yuuta, really. But I don't think they'd ever even warm up to me." I said, and he smiled. "Well, this Yuji guy seems interesting. Do you know much about him?" He asked curiously, and I thought about what to tell him about Yuji.
"Well, he told me he's a vessel for this curse called Sukuna. He said he ate one of his fingers? So gross." I looked away fake gagging, and Yuuta's eyes widened. "Huh? Really, Sukuna's vessel... I really have been out of loop." He chuckled, and I looked at him confused. "Who is Sukuna?" I questioned, and he looked at me shocked.
"I'm surprised you don't know y/n. He's the king of curses." I looked at him shocked, King of curses? Yuji is seriously a vessel for him? Sukuna? Why do I have no memory of ever learning about him? Wouldn't it be important for a sorcerer to learn about the king of curses?
"Eh— Gojo never told me about Sukuna..." I looked down embarrassed, and Yuuta shook his head. "Maybe you just forgot. He's pretty important. But that's crazy. His vessel is actually in our school." He looked puzzled and then sighed with a chuckle.
"Hopefully, nothing to worry about, though. They've probably made some kind of binding vow anyway." He said calmly, and I nodded. "Should I be scared of Sukuna?" I asked him worried, Yuuta shook his head and smiled. "Don't worry about him. He's inside of a vessel. He doesn't have his full power yet." He smiled to me, and I nodded, "alright..."
There was a knock at the door, Yuuta sighed and stood up, smiling to me before opening the door. "Hey guys," Gojo smiled and sat on the bed next to me. I looked at him confused but thought nothing of it anyway.
"Hi Gojo," Yuuta sat back on his chair and looked at the two of us. He smiled and looked at my eyes for a second before chuckling to himself. "So, the besties reunion, how's it going?" He questioned awkwardly, and I shrugged. "Alright, I guess? I mean, he only just got back..." I said awkwardly as well, and Yuuta smiled. "It's good, I've missed him a lot, you know? Lonely without our y/n in Africa." He giggled before crossing his legs.
"Ah, I see, you two are still as close as you were then." Gojo smiled, and we both nodded, laughing a little. "But you know, we're good, so you can leave if that's all you wanted to know." I told Gojo, and he looked to me with an unreadable expression. He sighed anyway and crossed his arms.
"Well, I'm just letting you two know to not forget to say hi to the first years, I mean, I'm sure they'd love to meet their upper classman, Yuuta." Gojo smiled before standing up. "I'll see you two around," and with that, he took his leave.
"He can be annoying, I didn't really miss that all too much," Yuuta sighed and stood up.
"Let's go talk to these first years," he smiled and opened the door, motioning for me to follow him. I walked behind him down the hallway, and to our surprise, Nobara and Yuji were standing there talking to each other. "Hey y/n," Yuji smiled, and Nobara waved awkwardly. "Who's this?" He asked, and I smiled. "This is my best friend, Yuuta Okkotsu."
"It's nice to meet you, Yuuta, so you're a second year like y/n?" Yuji questioned, and Yuuta nodded. "I am, we're very similar, y/n and I. And you are?"
"I'm Yuji Itadori, this is Nobara Kugisaki." He smiled and pointed his thumb to Nobara, who was on her phone bored. "Anyways, you've missed some time from school or something?" Yuji questioned him, and Yuuta shook his head.
"I've been training in Africa, actually. So, it's not really much of a break at all." He smiled. "It's good meeting you two, though, but I thought there were three." Yuuta questioned Yuji, but he already knew why Fushiguro wasn't here.
"Oh, he's like... kinda in trouble and grounded at the moment," Yuji chuckled awkwardly and rubbed the back of his neck with a faint smile.
"Oh, I see, I see." Yuuta smiled softly and turned to me. "We'll see you around anyways. Good meeting you two." Yuuta smiled to them before we left them.
We walked down the hall, talking about how things have been for eachother, for me not good, but Yuuta had seemed to be fine whilst he was gone, but we both had the mutual understanding that we both missed each other a lot every day.
"I was really worried about you," he sighed as we approached his room again. He opened the door, allowing me to walk in first. "I couldn't stand seeing you so broken and hurt, y/n." He sat down on his bed, I looked down and sat in front of him on the desk chair.
I felt my chest tighten, sadness washing over me, and worry. I don't want Yuuta to worry about me, I feel like an idiot. Why did I tell him all of those things? I shouldn't have. It's my fault that he's upset and had to come back to Japan.
"I'm sorry, Yuuta," I breathed out shakily. He smiled softly and put his hand on my shoulder, looking into my eyes. "it's fine, y/n, no need to apologize." He stated before standing up and hugging me tightly.
I felt tears begin to roll down my cheeks as I sniffled. He held me tighter. "It's going to be okay, I'm here for you now." He spoke softly and rubbed the back of my head, my face laid on his shoulder.
I continued to cry in his arms for a while before he pulled away, and I wiped the tears from my face.
He smiled softly again and sat back down, pulling me with him. "Now, we have got the tears out of the way. Why don't we play some Mario Kart with Panda and Toge, maybe Maki too?" He asked cautiously, and I nodded, "If they want to, then, yes."
