Engfa: (Smiling) "Hey, guys, we are meeting again."

Heidi: "Oh! Engfa, we didn't expect to see you here."

Marima: "Told you guys I have a surprise. Ta-da... This is my surprise."

Engfa looked at Charlotte. The feelings she had in the past were still there, but Engfa sensed something different about Charlotte. In the past, every time Charlotte looked at her, her eyes sparkled, but today that spark was missing. It was as if Charlotte were not the same person Engfa had known before. Her face was emotionless.

Marima felt that something was not okay with these two women. So she decided to step up and ease the tension.

Marima: "Engfa, I'm thinking, could you give a speech? I mean, you've already read the book, right?"

Engfa: "Of course, Marima."

So the event continued, and eventually, Engfa went to the stage to speak about the book, its brilliance, and the talented author, Marima.

After delivering her speech, Engfa returned to Heidi and Charlotte, but Charlotte was nowhere to be found.

Engfa: "So, how is life, Heidi? I heard you're really successful in the entertainment industry."

Heidi: "Yes, Engfa, I even got a movie offer. But I'm not sure about it because, you know, I never considered myself as an actress."

Engfa: "There's a first time for everything. You should consider it."

Heidi: "Yeah, we'll see about it..."

Marima interrupted their conversation.

Marima: "Did you see Charlotte?"

Heidi: "She was here earlier, but she said she needed some air and went outside."

Marima (painfully): "She's so distant, and I don't know what to do."

Heidi: "Don't worry, she's a big girl, and she knows that if things get out of control, she can always come to us."

Engfa had been listening to her two friends discussing Charlotte, and she decided to go outside to check on her.

Outside, Charlotte sat, gazing at the sky. Engfa approached her cautiously.

Engfa: "Can I sit here?"

Charlotte: "Yes, you can."

Engfa: "It's been a while."

Charlotte: "Yeah."

Engfa: "You don't want to talk to me?"

Charlotte: "What exactly do you want to talk about? We're not friends, obviously."

Engfa: "I'd like to catch up, Charlotte."

Charlotte remained silent for a moment before finally speaking.

Charlotte: "We should go back inside."

Engfa: "Okay."

As they headed back inside, the tension between them remained palpable.

After the event ended, Heidi had a suggestion.

Heidi: "Engfa, do you have anywhere to be now?"

Engfa: "Not exactly. My schedule is clear for the day."

Heidi: "How about we all go for dinner and catch up? After all, we need to celebrate our girl's success."

Engfa: "Sounds good."

All four of them left for a restaurant. Initially, Charlotte opposed the idea, but eventually, she agreed to go.

Inside the restaurant, the atmosphere was relaxed yet charged with unspoken emotions. Heidi and Marima tried to engage Charlotte in conversation, but she remained mostly silent, giving brief responses to their questions. Engfa couldn't help but feel the weight of the unspoken words hanging between her and Charlotte.

Engfa: (Attempting to start a conversation) "So, Heidi, how's Mr. Nawat doing. He is talking about you nonstoply. Seems like he really likes you."

Heidi: (Smiling) "Yeah, he is really amazing. Without him I will not acheive most of the thing now I have. He is so supportive. "

Engfa: "He is very supportive to me as well, specially my early career stage. It is difficult to find people like him, specially in our industry."

Marima: (Eager to keep the conversation flowing) "Engfa, how about you? What's new in your life?"

Engfa: (Trying to steer the conversation toward a more personal note) "Well, life's been...eventful. I've been keeping busy with work, and some unexpected things have happened."

Heidi: (Curious) "Unexpected things? Do tell!"

Engfa: (Hesitating, glancing at Charlotte) "It's a bit complicated, but let's just say life has a way of surprising us."

Charlotte sudenly decide to enter the conversation as she listen to Engfa.

Charlotte: (With a disgust look) "So how is pitchy, by the way Congradulations. You guys make a cute couple."

Engfa: (nurvously) "Yeah, she is good, thank you for asking"

Both two friends feel the tension and they realised there is something they should know, which her best friend didn't tell.

Charlotte continued to eat her food in silence, her gaze focused on her plate. Her friends exchanged concerned glances, but they decided to give her some space, sensing that she wasn't ready to open up.

Heidi: (Breaking the silence) "So, Charlotte, we've missed you. It's been ages since we all hung out together."

Charlotte: "Yeah, I've been busy with my studies."

Marima: (Trying to lift the mood) "Well, we're glad you could make it tonight, even though we had to practically drag you out."

As they continued with their meal, the conversation remained strained, and it was clear that something had shifted in their dynamics. Engfa couldn't help but feel a sense of longing for the Charlotte she had known before.

After dinner, they parted ways, each with their own thoughts and unspoken questions. Engfa couldn't help but wonder what had happened during those three months to change Charlotte so drastically.

As the days turned into weeks, Engfa found herself reflecting on her own feelings and the unspoken connection she still felt with Charlotte. She couldn't shake the sense that there was something unresolved between them, something that needed to be addressed.
