Sylvie had to hold back a chuckle as she pressed a last kiss against the girls head before Bella looked up at her. "Well, I'm sorry you felt we were unreasonable but it was getting chilly teeny. Maybe we can go back to the park next week on our day off." She suggested which earned a small smile out of the young girl, her mood instantly perking up.

"Can we get ice cream next week too?" She asked, giving her best puppy dog eye as she looked between Sylvie and Matt.

Sylvie laughed softly before looking over at Matt, giving him the same eyes. "Yeah Matt, can we?" She asked in a teasing tone, having to bite back the smirk as she watched him blush.

"If you're both good girls all week, I don't see why not." He smirked back at the instant blush that Sylvie got. The tension invisible to the six year who jumped up excitedly.

"I'm gonna go draw the ice cream I want!" She said before making her way out of the room and into her own. It wasn't known to the adults, but whenever Bella couldn't see them she started to get a bout of anxiety, it was only soothed once she could see they were still there and now that she had she was happy to go play again.

Sylvie turned back to Matt before giggling and shaking her head softly before looking down, her bottom lip being pulled between her lip as she bit it softly. Her eyes widen softly when she heard Matt speak again but she didn't quite catch the whole sentence. "Sorry, what did you say? I wasn't focus."

She was rewarded by a small laugh from him before he spoke again, this time a little more clearly. "Come on a date with me tonight, I can ask Stella and Kelly to babysit, I'm sure they'll say yes."

It only took a few seconds before her face broke out into maybe the biggest smile he'd even seen, she nodded her head softly before biting her lip again, releasing it almost instantly to answer. "Yes, definitely yes."

They sat there together watching the tv for the next 45 minute, each of them taking turns to point something out or laugh at something they found funny. They kept sneaking glances at each other and at one point Sylvie got up to check on Bella, who she found drawing VERY detailed pictures of ice creams she might like. She had returned to the couch and sat for maybe 10 minutes before the door open and in tumbled Stella and Kelly, laughing at something they'd be talking about along the way.

Once they saw the pair on the couch they greeted each other happily, the pair joining them in the living room by sitting together on the arm chair, Stella in Kelly's lap.

"So I have a question to ask you guys." Matt said, missing the deer in the headlights look Sylvie gave him. She hadn't expected him to just ask them, especially while she was here and she felt herself flush with slight embarrassment. She was grateful when she heard his next few words, she wasn't sure why she didn't want them to know yet, maybe because she didn't want to make a fool of herself.

"Could you two watch Bella tonight? Sylvie and I need to go down town for a meeting, we should only be a couple hours."

"Yeah sure, what time are you guys heading off?" Stella asked, quirking her eyebrow in Sylvie's direction who had suddenly found her hands very interesting.

"Oh, uh, probably around 6? Yeah 6." Matt nodded to himself before looking over at Sylvie then back at the couple, who were giving him knowing looks but chose not to say anything to spare Sylvie the embarrassment. They all know she was a pretty private person, so Stella would wait until they were alone to tease her over it.

Before long Kelly and Matt headed outside, Kelly saying he needed help with something and Matt, someone always willing to help, easily accepted the proposal. As soon as they were outside Stella jumped up and over next to Sylvie, surprising the blonde who let out a laugh.

"What happened!? Tell me everything!" Stella squealed quietly as not to alert the boys or Bella. She had been waiting to hear the details all day and now couldn't wait any longer.

Sylvie scoffed, looking at her with wide eyes. "What? What makes you think anything happened?" She let out a haha which was all too fake, as she avoided eye contact. She could feel Stellas eye burning a hole into her.

"Sylvie! You're glowing like a beetroot, you haven't said two words since we came home AND you looked like a high school cheerleader watching the jock walk off the field when he just left!" Stella laughed as Sylvie's eyes suddenly met hers, not realising she had been so obvious.

"What-" She was cut off as Bella came running out of the room with a drawing, she squealed as she saw Stella and instantly jumped into her arms for a huge.

"Stella! Guess what I saw today!" The young girl squealed excitedly, looking between the two women when she finally released Stella.

Stella looked at Bella with a smile and fake excitement, she was a little bummed the girl had interrupted her getting gossip out of her best friend. "What did you see!?"

Bella looked at Stella now with big eyes but an even bigger smile. "I saw Matt kiss Sylvie! Right on the lips!" She exclaimed, happy with the big smirk she received.

"Oh you did huh? And when was this?" She asked, her eyes leaving the young girls and finding Sylvie's who just looked in shock at the child. She couldn't hide her amusement that she had just been sprung by a six year old.

"At the park! Then a lady told us we were a beautiful family! I heard her!" She said again before throwing the drawing at the two and running off towards her room, obvious again to the tension in the air.

"So nothing happened then did it miss liar liar pants on fire!" Stella laughed the smirk returning when the shocked look still hadn't left Sylvie's face.

It took the blonde a few more moments to gather her thoughts, she was shocked that Bella had dobbed her in but she shouldn't be surprised, the girl was only young and it was something that obviously had made them all smile.

"Ummm, yeah, well. I did not expect my six year old to tattle on me." She said with an awkward laugh, her hand coming up to wipe the sweat from the back of her neck before they both broke out into a laugh. Something that always happened between them when things got too serious because neither could take themselves seriously.

"Okay okay, yes we kissed. Twice actually, and it was breathtaking." Sylvie paused for a minute as she reminisced, before she broke out of it and began speaking again. "Then he asked me on a date, tonight actually. Oh no, I don't have anything date worthy here!"

Stella smirked before she stood and help her hand out to Sylvie, a plan forming immediately. "I have just the thing."

And with that they were off, into Stellas room and over to her wardrobe.
