Xie lians pov:
I sighed as I dumped out the last of the scraps I had collected onto the soft sand of the cave I call my home. I looked through the stuff seeing what I had collected and if it was worth anything. 'Seashells, old clothes, whatever..' I sighed once again seeming to not be able to stop and swim over to a pile of kelp and seaweed I call my bed. I mean it works and I'm happy to have even had it for this long. Usually my beds get swept away by the current or torn up and eaten by crabs or other creatures. I put the scraps back into my bag and hung it on a rock that was slightly sticking out. It worked as a good hanger. I swam over to my "bed" and laid down hoping to get one good night of sleep. I could sense there was a storm coming due to the fact the currents were a lot stronger and the fact that on the surface the sky was filled with storm clouds. As I lay there about to fall asleep i feel a slight pinch on my tail. I open my eyes to see a crab. I smiled and picked up the crab petting it a few times. "And hello to you too pinchy!" I said smiling at the crab. This crab wasn't just any ordinary crab, it was a crab that had the mind of a human. It's weird to think about it but its true. I met pinchy when I was out scavenging for scraps. It was covered in barnacles and could barely move, so I cleaned the barnacles off for the poor thing. And ever since then the crab has followed me around.
I put down the crab then laid back down again feeling the crab smuggle into my tail. I smiled and feel asleep. Pinchy has always helped me fall sleep.

Xie lians pov still:
I woke up to find myself extremely hungry. I swam over to find my storage of food but it seems I had run out. I usually enjoy the food that humans make so I often went shopping on the surface. I didn't have to worry about money due to the fact you find a LOT of money when looking for scraps. I had a chest hidden away behind a rock on the shore I stored my human clothes in. I usually wore white robes that were simple but still held a sense of elegance. I knew a lot of humans, one of them being my friend Shi Qinxuan. We had met when I stopped by his food stall to grab a snack. Most villagers considered me rich because of the amount of money I had and it was true, I was rich. But that was only because I found money lying on the bottom of the ocean floor. I quickly swam up to the surface then went over to the rock I usually change behind. I do the basic things like get dressed, do my hair, put on perfume to get rid of the fish smell and other things. I walked out from the behind the rock and made my way into the village
I looked around seeing children play, street artist playing music and displaying talents, all the stalls and the wonderful meals they cook. I smiled and continued my way down the Main Street. I firstly stopped by a stall selling fruits and vegetables and bought what I need from there. Next I bought some snacks I could snack on due to me still being hungry and forgetting to eat. About an hour as passed as I stock up on all the things I need. But I always make sure to stop my Shi Qingxuans stall every trip I take. I walked down to where the stall usually is. And there he stood looking bored out of his mind. He still helped the costumers with a smile on his face. I walked over to him and waved. The moment he noticed me his face lit up with joy. "Xie!" He called out smiling and waving his hands. He looked kind of stupid but it was a funny stupid.
"Hello Shi Qingxuan." I said smiling at him.
"Where have you been! It's been 2 weeks!" He said whining.
"Ah! Has it really big that long?" I said laughing a but and scratching my head.
"Yes it has!" He said potting. We continued talking for hours on end until the sky grew dark and mostly everybody had gone home. The only ones who remained were stall owners cleaning up and closing their shops for the day. "Well I better get going, I stayed longer than expected" I said smiling at him then waving goodbye. He waved back and I went off back to the ocean.
Hua Chengs pov:
I looked around my underwater palace bored out of my mind. It had been a while till I had some real fun. A sirens life is pretty boring despite the fact of drowning and killing people. Other than that it's boring. I rolled my eyes and fidgeted around with some pearls I had in my hand. My palace doesn't really amuse me much anymore. It's just a boring place that's oversized with the only company being servants and such. I decided to take a nightly swim to get my mind off of anything but boredom. I swam up to the surface and sat on my usual rock looking into the beautiful night sky. This is the spot I usually sit at when looking for someone to fall victim.
I sat there waiting for some poor unfortunate soul to take a nightly stroll down the beach. A few minutes passed, and then I saw it. A young man that looked to be in his 20's (we all know he's not) dressed nicely in white robes and had a gentle but beautiful face. This was the first time I've seen him. I watch as he got closer and closer to the water. I decided now was my time to strike. I started to him a soft toon that was just loud enough so he could hear it. He looked up confused but the moment he saw me he fell into the same trance every person goes into when seeing me. I slip off the rock knowing that I had him trapped and swam up to the surface. He was even more beautiful up close.. I think I might keep this one. He'll go nice on a shelf or in a cupboard. I reached out my hand grabbing his and started to slowly pull him into the water. I saw he was about to break out of the trance and forcefully yanked him into the ocean. I hummed the toon once again putting him into the trance for a little longer. But as I pulled him down something weird started to happen. A light glow came from him and I closed my eyes. When I opened them he looked normal but when I looked down he had a majestic tail that was a beautiful white and gold.
