I removed my shoes. He gave me a pair of bedroom slippers to slip in.
"Sorry, I don't have small size.." he said. "I don't usually have female visitors."
Oh? Hmm.. Nevertheless I thanked him as I put it on.
He turned on the lights as he walked in.
The living room was right ahead. It was very spacious and he had a big C shaped sofa which I estimate can sit at least ten people. Jeez, such a big sofa, does he expect to throw parties always?
The living room windows were amazing. They were full length windows which over looked the Han river. I noticed that a lot of the celebs live in such houses, that overlook the river.
On the right leads to his bedrooms. I saw three closed doors. On the left was the kitchen, with a small island which double up as a dining space since there were stools there. For such a big sofa to accommodate so many guests, I was surprised to see a small dining area. Maybe they all just sit in the living room for dinner.
Upon seeing the kitchen, my stomach growled. I realised it was nearly half past seven.
He headed for the kitchen straight, after dropping his duffel bag by the wall.
"Make yourself at home," he said as he opened his fridge door and took out a bottle of water and drank from it. "What drink would you like? Though I only have water.. and beer..." he grinned sheepishly.
"I'm fine.." I replied. I wonder if we would be ordering delivery.
"Would stir fry pork and kimchi jjigae be okay for dinner?" He asked as he puts back the bottle of water.
"Er, okay.."
"Do you do rice or no?"
"Huh?" What kind of question was that? How do you eat a jjigae without rice?
He shrugged. "Just checking. In case you are a no-carbs kind of person."
"Is there such people?" I asked.
"Sure. People who are on diet. There are various types of diet. I sometimes do it too."
Oh man..
"So rice is fine?"
"Of course," I nodded.
To my surprise, he picked up the container from the rice cooker and went to wash some rice.
"Are you cooking?" I asked.
"Is that okay? Are you very hungry? I won't be long. Delivery also takes time..." he said.
"You are cooking?" I asked again. I can't believe he can cook..
"Yes," he stopped and looked at me. "Why? I don't look like the cooking sort?"
"Er..." I wanted to say ya.
He chuckled. "Don't worry. I'm a good cook. At least for simple dishes. It won't take long." He started chopping up some scallions and kimchi and meat. And he got busy in front of the fire.
I didn't know what to do and it seems like he had everything under his control. So I just stood there and watch him. Feeling warm, I removed his pullover and hung it over the back of the chair.
There are certain traits that makes a man very attractive, and cooking is one. A man who can cook is very sexy, in my opinion. I can't really cook so if my boyfriend can cook that would be bonus. Esme's boyfriend is a fantastic cook. He has ever whipped up a feast for us friends when we had parties. Western, Chinese, Italian, Korean, Japanese, Thai, he could do it all. He simply loves to cook so he's always exploring recipes. Esme would complain that he uses her as his guinea pig to food test. I told her to appreciate it. Not all guys can cook or even bother to.
