Skyfire softly pet at the helm of the seekerling, absolutly amazed at how small she was. With the size difference between him and Starscream, she was just a little bigger than his hand, and it was adorable. He already loved this sparkling with all he had in him.

He was in him and his lover's room, wings twitching joyfully on his back. The seeker's two trinemates were in the room, both sleeping on a couch him and Star kept in the room. They had been very good about staying up with their niece so Skyfire could rest, despite their reckless reputations.

He stifled a quiet giggle at the thought. He couldn't wait until Starscream was up and conscious enough for them to visit, He wanted so badly to show their daughter to him.

The shuttle purred loudly.

Their daughter. As in him and Starscream. What a dream come true.

He remembered the anxiety that ran ice cold in his veins as both him and the former fucking warlord awaited to figure out who was the father. But, by the grace of Primus, she was Skyfire's.

A knock came to the door, and Skyfire shared a glance to him child before saying to whomever it was, "Come in."

The door opened, and Perceptor was there.

Skyfire felt an awkward feeling come over him. Perceptor had lied to Starscream, but he had defended it as trying to protect Skyfire. The shuttle supposed he understood, and let Perceptor off the hook regarding the topic. Still holding casual conversation with him within the lab, which Starscream so far had seemingly paid no mind to.

His optics softened, and he smiled. "Hey, Percy."

The microscope's features softened in return and he asked, "Am I granted permission to meet the little one?" He asked.

"Of course." The bigger scientist purred, "Come on over, I'm sure Star won't mind."

Perceptor immediately made his way over, a bright grin stuck to his face. Skyfire appreciated the shared excitement.

"What's their name?" His friend asked.

"We never decided." Skyfire laughed lowly, watching as the red mech giggled along. "For now, we've taken to just calling her Baby, or honey, or lil lady."

"Dare I add the name cutie." Perceptor said softly, "Look at her. Soft red stripes on those winglets, mainly whites, seemingly some black on her heels. She's absolutly adorable, I'm sure you and Starscream will do greatly with naming her."

Skyfire;s chest felt warm with pride.

"Thank you."

Perceptor threw another grin his way before his features grew a bit serious. "How is Starscream?"

Skyfire felt his tanks burn. "As in–?"

"He just had a C-section, to start."

"Well, from what I heard, considering his injuries, his body has responded well to it. No harm was done to our sparkling, He didn't seem emotional moved by it when they told him, he was just, you know...worried for her." He said, turning to look at his baby.

"Oh I imagine. As, rough around the edges as he may seem, you care for him and he cares for you. So I can see where he'd fear for your spawn."

Skyfire nodded. In honesty, he'd had the same questions when he had found out about his lover's condition. Skyfire loved Starscream so much, he started to think the worst and worry about if the seeker would survive or not.

But he had, and it was okay now.

He remembered seeing their frame. Pedes crushed, fresh wounds upon his legs and arms. His helm had dents, and, most concerning, the leaking energon coming from a huge gash in his chest.

Skyfire cried so much when it happened, only calmed down by Wheeljack and Ratchet, with a bit of added puppy love from Grimlock.

But, his fear was slowly replaced with joy when he got to meet his daughter, and when the medics and him spoke over Starscream's condition more, glad to hear he'd make a swift and full recovery.

Perceptor slightly moved closer to Skyfire on the bed, "May I hold her?"

The shuttle blinked, before looking at the small sleeping seekerling. "No. I'm sorry. I would rather Starscream hold her before anyone outside of family or medic did."

An unreadable emotion flashed across Percy's features, but he nodded and grinned. "I understand. You're right."

"I'm glad you do." Skyfire purred, "Thank you, Percy, for being a friend."

-

"That baby is mine, by the way." Megatron giggled, walking over and handing Starscream the nasty low grade energon from where he was sat on the bed. From what Starscream learned, Megatron was staying in medbay with him because they needed someone on guard for Starscream who he would, well, tolerate.
But what Megatron said was exactly a factor he feared.
"Wait– what?! She is–??"

Ratchet looked over, groaning. "Don't tease about that Megatron."
The warlord giggled, looking over to the seeker, "Yeah no, she's Skyfire's. Don't worry buddy." He said, reaching to the seeker's helm and ruffling the top of it.

The seeker grumbled. "You're so mean." He said, sticking out his tongue.

"I know. I know," Megatron said, "Now drink that." He said, in reference to the low grade.

Starscream rolled his optics, drinking the foul tasting liquid. Though Starscream despised being in the medbay and having Megatron as his "guard," there was a strange comfort in their banter.

Ratchet's annoyed groan only added to the mix, as he tried to maintain order amidst the chaos. As Megatron confirmed that the baby belonged to Skyfire, Starscream couldn't help but feel a twinge of relief. He had never quite expected himself to be a parent, but the idea of raising a child with Megatron was a whole other level of uncertainty, especially since they weren't together.

"Try not to choke since you're so sensitive to, what do you call it?"

"The nasties."

"The nasties, then." Megatron scoffed in mock annoyance.

Starscream playfully stuck out his tongue in response to Megatron's tease.

But with a resigned sigh, Starscream reluctantly sipped the low-grade energon, the taste assaulting his wiring. But he silently conceded to Megatron's orders, sipping at the unpleasant liquid, all the while rolling his optics in dramatic manner.

The medbay may have been an unlikely place for such bizarre camaraderie, but as long as Megatron was by his side, Starscream knew that, in some twisted way, he was safe.

Safe against whoever had harmed him in the first place.

Megatron raised an optic ridge, feigning exasperation at Starscream's dramatics. "Oh, how I love your constant flair for the theatrics," he muttered sarcastically.

Starscream couldn't help but chuckle at his leader's amusing response, feeling a glimmer of comfort amidst the chaos of their existence. Taking another sip of the distasteful energon, Starscream tried to push aside the unpleasant sensation that crept through his circuits.

Starscream's energon-starved systems yearned for sustenance, but his mind lingered on a different hunger - the desire to see his daughter. The ache in his spark intensified with each passing hour, driving him to make this plea to Megatron.

"When will I be allowed to see my daughter?" Starscream's voice mumbled, revealing the vulnerability buried beneath his lithe frame.

He longed for the chance to hold his offspring, to see her tiny face and feel the warmth of her presence. He had been excited for months to meet her, and now it felt delayed all over again.

As Starscream posed his question, the room fell into a heavy silence.

Megatron's crimson optics softened, his gaze meeting Starscream's with an unexpected hint of sympathy. For all their power struggles and battles, there were still remnants of humanity within them both, buried beneath layers of ambition.

A flicker of consideration crossed Megatron's face before he spoke, his voice laced with a rare tenderness.
