Introduction

Their friendship began when they were just seven years old. During recess, Clementine decided to take matters into her own hands and organized a protest to extend recess by an extra ten minutes. With her passionate spirit, she stood up for what she believed in and surprisingly won the protest. It was during this protest that Clementine noticed Alison, all alone and seemingly detached from the rest of the kids.

Without hesitation, Clementine approached Alison and invited her to join the protest. It was an unexpected gesture, but it turned out to be the catalyst for their friendship. From that moment on, Clementine and Alison became inseparable. Their personalities may clash at times, but they complement each other in a unique way.

Clementine and Alison had a beautiful tradition of celebrating each other's holidays. Even though Clementine was Jewish, she always attended Alison's family Christmas dinner. In return, Alison embraced the Hanukkah celebrations with Clementine. While the Katz family wasn't overly religious, they did observe important Jewish traditions like Hanukkah, Passover, and the Bat/Bar Mitzvah.

After her impressive Bat Mitzvah, Clementine decided to part ways with Hebrew school. It simply didn't resonate with her anymore. Luckily, her dad and brother were supportive of her decision. On the other hand, Spencer continued attending Hebrew school throughout middle school.

The siblings were grateful for their aunt's support and the opportunities her success provided.
