mid-argument I see the letter laying carelessly on the floor. there's no way I can get it without him noticing. I've completely tuned him out and now I'm trying to figure out how to get to the letter.

"fuck, are you even listening to me?" he complains.

"of course asshole." I roll my eyes.

"what'd I just say?" he asks crossing his arms.

"you asked if I was listening." I say with a smug smile while still looking at the letter on the floor.

he follows my stare and looks at the letter. as he picks it up I yell profanities and tell him to give it back.

"that's mine." I say trying to get it as he holds me back with one arm still reading it.

"blakely what is this? who is it from? what secret? when did you get this? why haven't you already told me?" he bombards me with questions and I get more ticked with each one.

"would I still be here if I knew who sent the damn thing? and that stupid secret is none of your damn business." I retort as I snatch the letter from his hands.

I grab my purse and phone and walk towards the door.

"where the hell are you going?" he asks.

"out." I say before slamming the door shut.

I hurry onto the elevator that can't possibly go any slower. when it finally gets to the lobby I rush out but end up running into someone.

"hey blakely!" mandy says being too perky for my liking.

"sorry I can't talk." I say trying to get away.

"you shouldn't be rude like that." she says spitting venom.

"and why the hell not?" I question turning around.

"you never know what kind of secrets a person knows." she smirks.

"you little..." I start but I'm quickly cut off by nash running out of the elevator towards me.

"blakely I'm sorry I shouldn't have acted like that. I know it wasn't your fault. I know the letter made you mad." he apologizes.

mandy's mouth falls open but the look of shock is replaced with a smug smirk.

"so you told him about the letter. guess he should know your little secret too." she smirks.

"shut the hell up." I say through gritted teeth.

"it pains me to tell you this nash but your innocent girl friend isn't so innocent." she starts. "you see, back in freshman year she was the biggest party girl around. slept with every guy in town. it lasted a while but unfortunately came to an end when she got into a bad car wreck."

"mandy shut your damn mouth." I say fighting back tears.

"anyways blakely was drunk beyond belief but here bestie wasn't and neither was the guy in the other car. long story short she hit the other car and killed the other driver and her friend. she didn't even have her license yet." mandy shakes her head in disapproval. "and she didn't even bother going to either one of their funerals."

nash looks at me with an unreadable expression. I don't bother sticking around to see what he has to say because I run away. as fast as my legs will take me. I can't see much through all my tears. I run out of the hotel at top speed with my body shaking violently. I don't even make it a block before stopping in front of a random mcdonalds as I fall to the ground shaking even more. tears fall and my vison starts to blur. I look to where I had come from and see a group of people coming towards me. I pass out before I see who it is.
