The mirage
"He loves you. And that scares him more than anything"
Mariana's POV
"Lovely to see you again" Irene said
"Yeah, like a fucking mirage ain't it?" Alfie smiled, walking in with his cane
I followed behind him, letting him take the lead so to say.He was in his element when he got to annoy people
And part of me wanted Irene annoyed for all the grief Sabini was still giving me.
"Yes, although I've never see a mirage that looked like you. Does it hurt?" She asked, referring to his scar as we sat down"Only when I'm cold" he said
"Now the winters coming I'm fucked" he said, making himself comfortable"But not as fucked as you eh?... marrying into the Fords" he chuckled tauntingly
Her face remained passive, but the twitch in her eye and the way she looked over to me suggested she was surprised we knew that information"Marjorie has a very particular type" she said simply
"Normally her type is married is it not?" I asked, speaking for the first time
"He is married. She is happy with him" she argued.I sighed, she never let me have any fun
But sure, let Alfie shit all over your family
Be my guestMariana's Outfit
"Happy won't last long though will it? A Ford? You're signing her life away" he mused
"We are family now. And Frank tells me of a time when you were very close to a Ford" she commented, crossing her arms
Meaning?
I looked to Alfie but he said nothing, he just looked at herLike she was an enemy.
"Look, we know, you know. So let's get to the point, what is the issue with our dealings now Alfie is alive?" I asked
Her gaze flicked to him briefly
"I have begun to build things with the Fords, now we are family it is only right. Frank however seems to have a very... turbulent relationship with your uncle" she said, shifting her attention to Alfie
