I waved to Lilac goodbye as she headed off to the beach with Xen. I noticed someone walking they looked kinda intimidating but I decided to walk up and greet them, maybe they would know about another faction thing- "Erm- Hello!" I waved as I walked up to them.
They quickly turned around and pulled out their sword. They pointed at my chest, "Who are you?" They demanded. I put my hands up to show I didn't have anything on me. "My names Jazelle, I just found this island this morning and I'm trying to figure out more about the factions." I tried explaining.
They slowly lowered their sword. "Interesting. Have you met any Kites yet?" They asked. "No, I think just Nightingales." I sighed in relief seeing them put their sword down.
"Ah. Well follow me." They said, grabbing my hand and pulling me up the beach. "Alright-" I started to say, but stopped when they started pulling me.
They dragged me for a little while, pausing and pulling me up some stairs instead of a ladder. I looked around as they dragged me, everything I'd seen on this island had been really pretty. "Um, can I ask you where we're going?" I asked.
After we got up the stairs they stopped. "Welcome to the Kites base." They said, letting go. "Woah." I gasped, looking around. "It looks so cool, but I didn't get your name yet?" I asked, trying to remember if they had introduced themselves.
"My names Milly. She/they. I'm captain of this faction. You haven't told me your name either, haven't you?" She introduced. "Jazelle, she/her. I don't have a faction." I answered thinking about how cool she was.
"Ah, well I suggest the Kites, although I might be biased." She laughed. "We here Kites seek battle, so if that's your thing we would love having you here. It's better than the Kestrels at least."
"Ooo you guys sound cool!" I beamed. "Of course we are, we're Kites. Now, if you were to join the faction, I would be happy to show you around." She said.
"Thanks Milly!" I smiled and laughed. "No problem." She walked away, "If you follow the water down south, you should be back at the faction isles. If you ever need me, I'll be here or the tavern." With that, she disappeared into a room.
I started walking back and while I was walking I ran into Lilac. "Oh I found you. Do you want to go back to my house? And I wanted to ask you if you want to join the Nightingales? You don't have to answer that right now, but the offer is out there." Lilac said.
"Oh sure! And thanks for the offer, I think I still need to meet and figure out what the other factions are before I make my choice though." I answered as we started walking back to her house.
"Do you know how to sculpt?" Lilac asked me. It took me a second before I answered. "No I don't think so, you?" I asked, trying to remember life when I was at my home island.
"Hiya Xenny! And yes I do know how to sculpt. I'm quite good at it, if I do say so myself." Lilac responded, waving to Xen. Xen smiled and waved back at us, then looked at the sky.
Lilac then started walking toward her house. Xen went into their house. I walked into Lilac- or is it our house, I thought to myself, following Lilac.
Lilac started talking to someone that seemed to be someone new so I sat there and listened. "This is Jazelle and Azalea. Azalea is a Heron, and Jazelle is a newcomer. Are you a newcomer as well?" She asked Rin, I think her name was.
"Oh well I'm not in a faction yet, I don't really know what one I'm gonna join yet." Rin said. "I'm not in a faction either, I'm trying to meet people from every faction, I've met Nightingales and Kites!" I smiled, looking at the new person.
"Jazelle!! How's looking around going?" Xen ran over and asked. "Pretty good, i've met the Kites captain. I think that's who she was, but not the other two. What have you been doing?" I asked.
"Just waking around I guess, Lilac and I have only met newcomers so far and I really want to meet the people from other factions... but I'm nervous." Xen said, smiling softly.
"Yeah the Kites captain was really intimidating," I laughed. "I was almost too scared to go up to her," I said. "But she wasn't mean, so the other faction people probably won't be mean." I explained.
"Yeah.. but lilac mentioned someone in the Herons faction that was kinda rude to her.. I just don't want people to be mean. Although I've been here for 3 years I've met no one from other factions, let alone seen their area." Xen responded, sitting down.
"Wow, 3 years and you've never met anyone? Also Herons is one of the factions right? I keep forgetting, sorry." I said, kinda confused.
"Yeah.. I don't explore much." Xen laughed a little, at themself, and then thought. "Yeah there are the Kestrels, the Herons, the Kites, and the Nightingales, you've met 2 of the 4, tho I can't help you much with some of the other people.. I mean there is only Lilac and me in the Nightingales as far as I know." They explained.
"Oh yeah, thanks. I suggest you try to meet the Kites captain!" I exclaimed, sitting down in a chair. Xen nodding and smiled. "Maybe you could introduce me?" They asked, grabbing something from their pocket.
"Sure! I smiled happily, "Though I only know one of the Kites so I can only introduce you to her." Xen nodded again, playing with something.
"Oh well yeah I am!" Rin explained, "Oh cool, I've just met some Herons and now I guess the Nightingales." She said, "Quick question, do you know if the Herons are kind or rude?" I asked.
"I've heard that some were nice, the only rude one I heard about was the one Lilac told me about." Xen mentioned, messing with their hair.
I saw Lilac walk into her room and flop onto her bed. Xen and Rin left shortly after and I went into my room and decided I should sleep as well.
