She gazed at him with a questioning look, silently inquiring about his apparent distress.

Cale, however, shook his head slightly, choosing not to share his inner turmoil. As Athanasia's confusion lingered momentarily, she eventually brushed it off and continued with her own preparations.

A leisurely walk took her to the bed, where she gracefully reclined, letting the mattress embrace her tired form

As Cale turned his head to observe the floating dragon and Zephyr, he retrieved an emblem and handed it to them.

"Use this invisibility brooch to conceal the whale," he instructed

Hans's voice, once more knocking at the door, interrupted their momentary tranquility. "Young master and young lady, Lady Amiru asked me to check on your safety. So, if you're awake and can open the door..." Before Hans could finish his sentence, Cale had swung the door open.

Hans's surprised expression mirrored his astonishment at Cale's sudden appearance.

Clearing his throat, he stammered, "Young master, were you in the bath?"

Cale released a resigned sigh, his gaze shifting to Athanasia, who was comfortably nestled on the bed. "I couldn't fall asleep, so I thought I'd relax in the tub," he explained.

Hans shifted his gaze from Cale to Athanasia, his curiosity evident. Sensing his scrutiny, Cale offered no further explanation.

Hans, piecing things together, managed a small chuckle, "Ah, so there was a bathroom here after all. Since you're not asleep, I suppose you won't kill me." His tone took on a note of real relief.

Cale responded playfully, "You think so?"
