"It's a pretty view up here don't you think? The moon seems so near, it feels like you could almost touch it.." marks Haider as he cautiously moved closer towards that broken soul. He could see her trembling in despair.
She abruptly turned her face towards him, but her glimpse slip away from his eyes, for instead of her stepping away from the edge of the cliff, she moved further in front towards it. She was sobbing in silence but her breathing gets heavier and quicker.
As she moves closer to the edge, Haider's heart races, his instincts screaming at him to grab her and hold her back. But he knows that sudden movement might scare her further. So, he stays calm, speaking softly as he inches closer, his hand reaching out slowly.
The broken soul, halt her step as she clenches her fists to the rem of her skirt. With tears still stinging her eyes, she withdrew her foot away from the edge of the pit but, she's obviously not moving away from there either.
He lets out a slow breath of relief as she stops, but he can see the turmoil in her eyes. He moves even closer, his hand hovering just above her shoulder, hesitating before gently touching it. His touch is light as if afraid she might shatter, "You don't have to do this..."
She flinched to his touch as she shoved his hand off her shoulder, "Don't touched me and stay the fuck away from me.." she sobs and pants. The breeze continues to swept across their faces, chilling their skin right to the core of their bones.
Haider's heart sinks at her reaction, but he doesn't back off. He knows he needs to keep trying to reach her. He sits down beside her, keeping a safe distance, and looks out at the view together. "I'm not going anywhere, okay? I'm right here..."
"What the fuck. Just stay away from me. I don't need you. Everything's is so bleak, everything so might as well, I... end it for now.." Without second thoughts Eden took another step right to the edge of the cliff and miss her footing.
Haider's eyes widen in panic as he sees her lose her balance. Without hesitation, he leaps forward, grabbing her by the waist just as she's about to fall. He holds her tightly against his chest, his arms wrapped around her like a vice. "NO!" he shouts, his heart racing.
Haider holds onto Eden tightly, his arms locking around her as he stares down at the ground far below. His breath comes out in ragged gasps as he tries to calm himself down. Slowly, he looks up at Eden, her face pressed against his chest. "Miss, look at me. Please..."
"Just let go of me.. you know nothing about me and whatever happens it's none of your concern." Eden struggles frantically in his arms.
He tightens his grip, not about to let her go. His eyes bore into hers with a fierce intensity. I know enough to know that you don't want to die. he says firmly. "You're hurting, and I get it. But this isn't the answer..."
