The man led me to a chair. He forced me to sit on it. He tied me down. My throat was dry. "Don't die," I whispered to myself quietly. The man got a thing that looked like a shot. He came over to me. I was sweating. I tried to kick and flail once again, but I was tied down. He injected it in my arm.

I screamed. Nothing hurt, but I was scared. I closed my eyes and I felt the man untie my hands. I opened my eyes. The man was holding my hand in front of me. The only thing different was my nails were way longer. Not sharp like I thought they would be, but long. I was shaking and the man was smirking. He untied my feet, but the rope around my neck was still there. The man led me into another room. A woman was in the room. The man tied me to another chair. My throat was dry and my whole body shook.

The woman got nail clippers. She grabbed my hands and crazily cut my finger nails. I watched my nail pieces fall on the ground. Soon, my nails were back to normal. The woman got a broom and started to sweep away my nail pieces. The man came back. He untied me, except for the rope around my neck of course, and he led me back to that horrible cage. He threw me back in and the door was again locked. The man left me in the darkness. The end of the rope around my neck was tied around one of the bars of the cage. I sat I a corner. I was so tired and hungry and thirsty.

I was soon asleep, dreaming. My dream was interrupted though. I heard a a banging noise. I opened my eyes. I was still in the same spot. I heard the scientists yelling at each other.

"If this test works, our project will be finished!" yelled own scientist.

"We should make sure it it safe for us though!" yelled another scientist.

"Test it on the test subject!" another scientist yelled. Another banging noise. They must be building a machine. More chills ran down my spine. I wanted to be able to crawl away. To safety. I might die if I stay. I heard more banging. My heart was racing faster than before.

"Please no," I whispered. I closed my eyes again. The sounds made it hard to sleep, but somehow I did it. I couldn't sleep for long though. My neck was suddenly yanked. I shot my eyes open. The man was dragging me back to that testing room. I had to go. As we went by the old clock, I realized it was one in the morning. These scientists didn't give up. This time, I was strapped to a wood board. I wasn't laying down all the way though. I was propped up a bit.

I watched the man get what looked like eye drops. He walked over. He forced my eyes open and put the drops in. My eyes stung like crazy. I screamed a bit. The scientists looked curios. Soon the stinging was gone. "It only flashed red," said one of the scientists. The rest of them nodded. I was very frightened now. What was next?
